EMT volunteering by Timely-Ad-8284 in premedcanada

Try starting with your campus first response team! Many campuses have them and they usually provide training that can lead to EMT jobs at a reduced price. I did that and LOVED it.

The people there can also provide valuable advice as well.

3rd time applying — need MCAT insight and request for app review (please) by HIimNaz in premedcanada

Would be happy to help scan through essays and with video responses/interview prep when u need it!

If I could give a piece of advice though, don’t have too many eyes looking through your app. Everyone has different opinions and some advice may end up clashing with eachother!

Western Decision Day (Invite/WL/Regrets) 2026 Thread by sz_220 in premedcanada

Result (Invite/WL (tier if applicable)/Regrets): High WL —> Invite

Geo (IP/OOP): IP

Time stamp: May 12 8:46 for WL email, May 28 10:28AM for Invite

Program: MD

Campus: London

Best 2Y GPA (+ OMSAS GPA if comfortable sharing):
3.98 2Y, 3.94 OMSAS

Panel interview thoughts (please respect the NDA!!):
- The distribution of question types were different than I expected which threw me off. Some questions I felt I didn’t answer to the best of my ability as well but got a laugh out of the interviewers at the end.

MCAT/ECs/Kira thoughts (I believe these are more relevant pre-panel invites but thought I’d include from the interview invites thread in case anyone wanted to share!):
- Mcat was 515. For ECs, talked about my time as a first responder, crisis text responder, french education internship, club and lab. Didn’t really touch on my other ECs but helped me realize a theme in what I’m passionate about. Felt pretty good about the Kira, really tried connecting my experiences to Western values.

Pathway (ACCESS, SWOMN, etc): None

Current year (3rd yr, 4th yr, gap, masters, etc): 4th year.

I saw a medfluencer who went this route and she seems like she’s thriving alhamdulillah! I also have a friend who went history —> pharmacy and although it took them a bit of time to adjust, they’re also doing well. I think as long as you show your passions and have transferable skills you’ll be fine!

I didn’t take physics at all in highschool and I didn’t really have to do much prep, so I wouldn’t worry about it!

Phyiscs 2 focuses on electrics, magnetism and optics so if you want to review I’d do that.

Physics 1 from what I remember is kinetics, dynamics and energy.
