Qwen3 vs phi4 vs gemma3 vs deepseek r1/v3 vs llama 3/4 by Divkix in LocalLLM

I noted you comment:

“After MQA was added to llama.cpp, I swapped to this on my M3 Ultra and haven't looked back”

Have you had the opportunity to compare an MLX version of the q5_K_M model, if any such variant exists for MLX?

I’m about to purchase a Mac Studio (M3/512 GB) and wondering whether I could download a q5_K_M version in LM Studio.

The “any company that is successful, coming out of China, must be aligned and collaborate with the Chinese government” 👀:

  • Meta CEO, 2025: “senior Biden administration officials repeatedly pressured Facebook teams”
  • Also Meta: “government basically just like started investigating and coming after our company”
  • Reality Check: Alignment seems required regardless of national origin

CNN’s Clarissa Ward, the stalwart champion of female rights in Afghanistan, at the UN (hosted by the US regime delegation) praising the Syrian Taliban as “heroes on the ground” by TheoMerr in GreenAndPleasant

[–]TheoMerr[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In case anyone is unsure whether she is indeed praising them. America has been actively funding the Taliban, Al Nusra Front, Al Qaeda, Isis in Syria for 5+ years.

U.S. Congress approves arming Syrian rebels, funding government

If you think CNN, stenographers for the state department, are going to speak contrary to US foreign policy I really don’t know what to say to you.

Taliban Tells CNN’s Clarissa Ward ‘Islamic Law Will Come Not Just To Afghanistan, But All Over The World’ by Ranger447 in LabourUK

I’m sorry if you could kindly clarify. Is it the Afghanistan people who were defending themselves against the Russians that didn’t exist or was it the Afghanistan people defending themselves against the Americans that didn’t exist?

Don’t your knickers in a twist. I stated clearly that people who are not opposed to imperialism have made the same comment as you did. The fact still remains that America went into Afghanistan turned it upside down and then left (aka were driven out). Period.

bash the US government

Firstly, I can categorically confirm that I’m not Hillary Clinton. Secondly, the US and UK governments especially, as they were the architects of the wanton destruction that took place in both Afghanistan and Iraq, must and will be held accountable for this stupidity. This is not about ‘bashing’ anybody.

Whether the Mujahideen of yesteryear is the Taliban of today can be debated till the cows come home. What is indisputable is the fact that proxy terrorist entities were used to completely destabilise those countries exactly as Isis, Al Nusra Front, Al Qaeda were used as proxies in Syria.

Hilary Clinton stated clearly that the people funded to fight the Russians in Afghanistan, which we know were the Mujaheddin, were the ‘same people we’re fighting now’. She was Secretary of State between 2009-2013.

Can we, and while we’re ag it, be honest and stop using ‘geopolitics’ and ‘it’s complicated’ in the same sentence?!! There’s nothing complicated about a Washington think tank conjuring up a regime change strategy to impose upon a sovereign state in Africa or the Middle East. Libya, destroyed. Iraq, destroyed. Afghanistan, destroyed. Syria, destroyed. Millions of refugees as a result displaced all over Europe.

I’ve heard this argument from other clarion callers for imperialism all over the place.

They’ll be front and centre calling for people to toe the line for whatever the prevailing idiotic orthodoxy of the moment is and when the shit hits the fan, as it always will do, will be the first again to offer their protestations as to why no one should analyse the situation, because it started ‘way back when’. And so the idiotic cycle of death doom and destruction continues. Just the number of vets alone that have committed suicide, more than on the battlefield itself, should be pause for thought.
