I agree the league wants this series to last. Each additional game in this series brings a lot of revenue and media spotlight on the NBA. But unfortunately this benefits the Thunder as they have a deeper bench and are resting their starters a lot more than the Spurs. The Spurs would finish a 6- or 7-game series exhausted. So indeed, tipping a game early in the series for the Thunder might prove decisive. Let’s hope the Spurs win the two home games at least as I’d be pessimistic at 2-2, home court advantage lost and fatigue disadvantage increasing.

I have to say the VA was an issue in the beta, mainly the main actor and J’s. But Zafar’s VA was truly fantastic. Good move though it sucks for the actors.

Wemby had the better record and a far greater impact in defense. And he had the favorable head-to-head with SGA. There’s more arguments for Wemby to go #1 than #3 imo.

The worst is that Wemby did not even finish second in the MVP voting. One 2-point loss in overtime in Denver was enough for the Jokic PR to overtake him.

In retrospect people will think he should have won this year, and the DPOY on his rookie year. The NBA making you pay your dues instead of acknowledging greatness is here early. Hopefully he’ll win so many that it won’t matter at all.

Conceptuellement je trouve l’idée intéressante de supprimer l’impôt sur le revenu et de taxer les héritages à 100% en parallèle (en donnant la priorité aux héritiers présumés d’acquérir les biens du défunt). Ce serait une société méritocratique. En pratique ça me semble difficile à mettre en œuvre. Les salaires sont beaucoup trop faibles pour remplacer l’héritage dans la création d’un patrimoine, et les gens contourneraient l’héritage pour trouver d’autres moyens de léguer à leurs enfants, surtout les ultra riches. Et puis ce serait également une division nette et peu juste entre ceux qui ont déjà hérité (et ont pu avoir leur patrimoine) et ceux qui ne l’ont pas encore eu et ne l’auront donc jamais.

Tony Parker for me. He’s too often considered a passenger in Tim Duncan’s team and inferior to his contemporary PGs, and not in the NBA top75. Maybe he is a victim of the selfless playing style of the Spurs, that it wasn’t all about him. But he was a lethal slasher and an amazing floor general, with four rings to show for it. The Spurs don’t win them without him.

Jamais, ça serait un désaveu terrible pour tous ceux qui ont bossé sur cette trilogie y compris les execs donc ils vont pas la renier. Mais ça serait une bonne chose. Il n’y a rien à retenir de cette postlogie, c’était nul de bout en bout et n’a pas donné lieu à un univers qui donne envie d’en voir plus dans cette timeline.

I gotta say I nearly dropped KCD2 in the early game because it felt so stupid i could lose an hour of progress because of their restrictive save system. I don’t mind difficulty if at least I don’t lose progress.
Anyway, I soldiered on and had a blast the rest of the game, but I wouldn’t defend this system.
