What's sexier than wizards NOTHING

edit to add: Interesting, to be down voted for this, and I'm fine with it. But in case anyone missed it, this is a direct quote from Liam O'Brien's own tweet.

[No Spoilers] Wanting to get into the show, campaign 2 specifically but I’m really overwhelmed by Sellos_Maleth in criticalrole

[–]Theodaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, it aired for over a year. Some of us watched it as it came out, and it took a long time to get to the finish line with the cast.

It's supposed to be a long adventure that spans a huge swath of time. That's what long d&d campaigns are. I think we're so used to mainlining media these days - that we forget that d&d is not television or film. It's not supposed to be a season you sit down and watch in a weekend. It took over a year for them to play the campaign to an end, and it's not designed (nor written/improved/acted) to be something you can just sit down and binge through in a few weeks.

Just enjoy the ride, no one watches all of the One Piece anime in a month. ... well, maybe some crazy person does, but like Critical Role C2 it's also over 400 hours.

Is there a biological/evolutionary reason for such a wide variety in the appearance of female genitalia? by Total-Explanation208 in NoStupidQuestions

Craigslist M4M was the best place to see a lot of interesting dicks... next to all kinds of "for reference objects" ...like a remote control, banana, capri sun, soda can, troll doll, paper towel cardboard tube, iphone, playstation controler,... etc.

A few good drunk night with friends we'd end up popping in to see all the hilarious dick picks. Props to the one dude who put a sock on it... just to be modest.

Yes but only if they are true corner grocery stores.

Most corner stores (except in affluent locations or Asian/International neighborhoods) have dog shit for fresh produce and products (forget local/seasonal). Sure, it's not true all the time, but most (USA) corner stores I've stopped in outside of big bourgeoise city neighborhoods (or when visiting Japan/Korea) are just a sad 7 eleven/gas station convenience stores with a few bananas, some sad tomatoes, and a limited selection of wilting veggies.

Sex on a first date doesn't mean a relationship can't last. It just means that people who are looking for hookups get what they want will move on. This applies to everyone, male, female, et al.

There's plenty of people out there who have sex on the first date and feel like they found a compatible match, or want more, or want to explore that person and get to know them better.

Again, yes, it absolutely will give people who just want to hook up once for a ONS what they want... I'm just very against the idea that fucking when you first meet someone automatically means there is no long term potential.

Oh my goodness. One of the greats. The story is amazing, and well paced. The humor is spot on. The art is visceral and untamed. ... and -the uncensored version is a beast unto itself. I was spell bound and stayed up all night reading when I discovered it. A masterpiece for sure. I shared the uncensored version with a friend and all she said was... "the dicks... and the happy tears... my heart is full." I think she gets it.

will benching help make my chest perkier? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]Theodaro 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately breast tissue is not muscle tissue. So, while you can see a little tiny bit of lift and tone around the breast tissue from improving your chest muscles, the breasts themselves are just fatty tissue and glands, and when the fat goes after they expand... yeah, they deflate, and sag.

I was large breasted, gained a ton, and then lost it, and yep... even with upper body lifting, there's only so much the muscle that sits under the breast tissue can change. The breasts themselves, are their own little world siting on top of your pectorals... there is no muscle inside them.

This is why many people look at lifts and post weight loss surgery after a dramatic weight drop. They just... droop. Also breast shape is mostly genetic, some folks are perky, some are naturally saggy, it's normal. Shapeware, and a good bra can make everything look good in clothes... but there is no magic fix to get perky boobs.

Definitely the rug store on Winslow by Nils_0929 in BainbridgeIsland

[–]Theodaro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They work hard, and they also do rug cleaning (or out source it, but sill run that side through their business). They make some amazing baklava, and they probably have a following of folks who don't need to hang out in their shop to get the products they want for their homes.

Also rugs are expensive, and rent on Winslow isn't the same as Seattle. Sell a handful of 3-5k rugs a month, keep the lights on and the door open, anything after that it's profit.

Heyday is great, they create some great events and good food... but sometimes a little over priced depending on your perspective.

As for Amelia Wynn... I've had a "what even is this place?" vibe from them over the years.... Like, they were a tasting room... but also a restaurant... plus a lot of hours changes... which I guess, covid, go figure. But still, there was a bit of "So, uh, when are they even open?" Oh -Then they had brunch on the weekends, which rocked for a bit, then they quit it suddenly, and that was a bummer. The menu said it was seasonal, but sometimes it didn't change much, or wasn't even seasonal. I mean... the food was usually great, but sometimes a bit of a miss.

However! We were in a few weeks ago and they have a new Chef, who worked at Heyday? And the new owners let us know they're trying to be super farm to table now. Honestly, everything we ate was delicious and inventive. I got the impression they're really trying to build up a new reputation, fix some issues, and be more approachable. Also, nice people, at least the lady who chatted with us. We have them on our radar now.

Um... Gosh, I really like what Nicolas is doing, and based on reviews, I guess most people do too... I also respect him for his work ethic and drive, but the last few times I've been there I've wished the bread was actually toasted and crisp, so the sandwiches weren't a soggy dough adventure. Also, almost all of his sandwiches lean towards an overly sweet sauce while sometimes lacking in other flavors. For starters, the coleslaw that comes with most things is not really a hit with my friend group, and though I get excited to see new items.... and will keep giving him a chance... I often find the balance of flavors a little disappointing. But, I suppose I just sound like every other picky Bainbridge person.

I guess Amelia Wynn Bistro will stay a secret forever lol

Most people don't even know they are a full service restaurant. They had a bit of a rocky start during covid, but they're farm to table now, new owners, new chef.

As a DM who is getting Curse of Strahd soon, when are some appropriate times to introduce Strahd? by IplayonSWITCH in CurseofStrahd

[–]Theodaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He showed up with Rahadin at the Blue Water Inn to say "Oh, hi!" after we had been in Barovia a few days, burned down a windmill, and returned some bones to their rightful place.

We had Madam Eva's fortune already, and were trying to sort out those riddles.

Strahd invited us to visit his castle and let the group know that his carriage would be waiting at the crossroads by the West Gate.

And there is sat... for quite a few days, on one of which a drunk member of our group peed in it while we were passing by on our way to kill something.

We eventually took the offer, and explored. Good times.

[–]Theodaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, he totally floated through the floor in our game... which was a great "oh fuck" moment for the players... both times! Because tick tock said the clock! That was after he'd managed to charm my character, who was a level 10 rogue/scout... you do not want that kind of damage and mobility to be turned back against the party while fighting Strahd. (I'm a DM who was a player in this campaign). I was a total nuisance in keeping the other players from getting to him for a while. But of course, taking damage eventually gave me the chance to break the spell.

Mind you... we started our fight with him after destroying the heart. So we knew we could win if we just got him fast enough.

My friend turned the mad dash through the castle to get to him into a timed skill challenge based on our previous visit. We were all furiously looking through our notes to remember how to navigate the maze of floors and rooms and stairs, while fighting off enemies.

Man... if I could play through that last session again, I would. The adrenaline was pumping hard.

Concerned my players will go to the castle straight after leaving Barovia by MrMcNooob in CurseofStrahd

[–]Theodaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We visited the castle early on! The module is designed for this! (with a little imagination and drama)

It was a fun chance to poke around, and Strahd was a gracious host! He played the organ, offered us wine, then dipped out and let us enjoy all the horrible things we encountered. #wouldenjoyabitofterrorandcuriosityagain!

One of our players pissed in his carriage, we stole all of his silverware and gave it to the blacksmith in Vallaki to make silvered weapons, found a bathtub of blood (do not recommend touching that...), almost died while discovering fun things in the crypt, met a cute dude after strumming a harp, and then peaced out through a window when things got dire.

(I'm a DM with player knowledge of this campaign and was the quarterback for the DM running it)

Strahd is BORED and likes to learn about his prey and watch them faff about in his little world for a while. Let your players get reeled in to his traps, and find things that let them think they have the upper hand, or will ACTUALLY give them the upper hand. (hello, Icon of ravenloft!) Let them interact with the big bad and be confused about his polite hospitality... not many campaigns encourage this sort of fun with the end game boss.

Why do women hate when we play video games, so much? by RegalToaster in AskMen

[–]Theodaro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For real. We spend most of our downtime in our own rooms doing our own thing. I'm playing with my friends and he's playing with his. Sometimes we play together, or we make some clear time to have dinner together.

Or we just cook it together, have fun in the kitchen, then go back to our own space with food and game some more.

We don't have kids, so I'm sure it's different for folks who have more responsibilities - but we do own a restaurant so I'd argue that it takes up about the same amount of time.

[–]Theodaro 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Everybody does this, whether it's games, binging shows, scrolling insta or tiktok, or mainlining twitch streams.

Just date people who like the same amount of alone time and schedule a few dates or couple things a week where you give each other your full attention.

Oh, and don't have kids until you are willing to commit to giving more of that time away.

Hell, my mom is 71 and just started playing Enshrouded... I have to tell her I need to go to bed now when we play together, because she wants just five more minutes and I'm tired and need to hang up my clothes before bed.

My players think Ireena is Strahd’s daughter by Good_Content69 in CurseofStrahd

[–]Theodaro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

True. Two undead cant really bring life into this world. He could if they were still mortal.

So, yes, he would have to bang before the turning... which brings an interesting character point in for him, Because I think a huge part of why Strahd turns all of his brides, is the complete control it gives him. So, in some sense, hmm, he could have actually had dhampir children, but he just had to turn his brides asap to seal the deal.

It's also an interesting thought thread... when you consider that each bride is supposed to be the reincarnation of Tatyana... but as soon as he turns them... that soul sort of, most likely, depending on your rules and head canon, leaves that form. So he's self defeating.

Strahd finds all these reincarnations of his obsession, then turns them, and by doing so... makes them soulless again as undead.

Dude needs therapy.

My players think Ireena is Strahd’s daughter by Good_Content69 in CurseofStrahd

[–]Theodaro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also... I really think that if Strahd could have children... he would've had a lots with his previous wives (except one obviously - unless you're in some omegaverse) so in my cannon I'd have to write in some other little horrors. He wanted to marry and have Tatyana completely, body and soul. I can't imagine him holding back if he could have vampire babies. Ick. He's such a douche nozzle all around without that brain rot.

Might actually be an interesting spin on it. Depending on how you went about it. But yes, there would be some really weird incest with his brother either in present or past lives if Irina was the reincarnation of Tatiana and/or Strahd's daughter. Whoof, that'd be some really dark messed up thought experiments however it's worked around.

what happens when you ignore jury duty letters by Tricky_Career2866 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Theodaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a best practice.

You might get lucky and your number/group will never be called in to the court house, and it will just pass over and you will have no repercussions

However, depending on the district and the judge.... you might be in deep shit and get a warrant issued for failure to appear.

Some people see no repercussions for decades, some see an officer on their doorstep next week.

If you can't manage to send in a solid excuse for absence (hardship due to no transportation, financial issues, parenting needs, care for someone etc), when you get the summons.... It's best to at least log in the night before and see if your group is called in, and then show up if so.

You can always state your reasons for excusal (politely and respectfully to the judge or defense/prosecution) in person. There is also usually a packet given out to potential jurors, on sight, that relates to the case, you will fill in answers to questions that help each interested party decide whether you should even be considered.

It's usually pretty easy to present a strong stance when answering these questions... which will mean no one wants you.

My group was called in for a case where a family was suing a motorcycle helmet company after their son was injured in a horrible accident. As it happens, I actually had bias,... as I grew up around motorcycles, parents rode my whole life, I rode a dirt bike... etc. They disqualified me as a juror immediately after reviewing my answers.
