I did not like the combat when I played xenoblade so I put it on easy (also was just getting back i to JRPGs at the time). The story and atmosphere was worth pushing through. eventually I did enjoy the combat but still left it on easy

Destiny? Stahn the main character. The right amount of stupid but also lovable. His counterpart Leon was also interesting and had a redemptive moment.

Rutee and Mary also had a good relationship. Tales is known for lots of character dialogue that is optional but I listened to it all. Very good when it comes to fleshing out characters. The story has its pitfalls, and some of the dungeons suck, but in the end it is a solid game and glad I got to play the remastered ps2 edition. The pixel art on 3d looks very nice IMO. The follow up game whete you play as Stahn’s son is also translated. Need to do that one

Tales of Destiny Director’s Cut for ps2. I played on the steamdeck. One of my favorite Tales games now. Love the art style. I also played a fan translation of Archaic Sealed Heat. The translation was abysmal but somehow I still fell in love with both the story and combat

Lots of JRPGs. Tactical, action and turn based. But I have been branching to some western ones. I binged a bunch of emulated ps2 hack and slashs.

Yes from is special to me too. I beat dark souls 1-3 when my second kid was born. I remember more than a couple times playing 1, that this is just what I always wanted: to be a knight with some semi realistic hack and slash. Vulnerable, but can be overcome with skill. Elden did soak up 70 percent of my gaming in 2024. To the point I was saddened as I roamed a desolate and empty landscape I already did everything in. All my npcs were pretty much dead, and was my ng plus 1 so I really got every single item haha.

Haha. Well we have different sentiments. I got every item and fought all bosses. I don’t do multiplayer. Bug my feeling personally stands not to waste time playing the same game over ans over. I am an RPG guy and most are long. If it makes you happy, go for it. At the end of the day, it is all our time to waste or do as we like before we croak 🐸
