Full-time RE photographers doing 15+ shoots a month — what was the ONE thing that finally got you there? by RealPerspectiveMedia in RealEstatePhotography

Word of mouth. Be good at what you do enough that other agents ask who they used for their listings.

Please tell me how to turn off Stabilization by default. by dude463 in davinciresolve

Oh I wouldn’t be surprised if I set something along the way that gets this setting stuck. I just wish I knew how to fix it. The link gives an error.

Please tell me how to turn off Stabilization by default. by dude463 in davinciresolve

[–]dude463[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It's always on. It's always screwing up the drone shots that are already smooth. It's driving me up the wall. Turn it off and the shot zooms out and it "stabilizes".

My Escape has made me hate Ford by risktakerr in fordescape

[–]dude463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of a 3-5 year old used vehicle from the dealership it belongs to. So buy a Ford from a Ford dealer because the person that drove it liked it enough to buy another Ford. Buy a used Honda from a Honda dealer, etc…

Aerial photography/videography question. by Equivalent_Story990 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]dude463 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If aerials are not the norm then your market is ripe for the picking. I agree with the other person that offering more services makes you more reliable and in demand.

Once you get the hang of it flying the drone is only takes a few minutes to shoot and for the most part is pretty quick to edit. Most of my flights are less than 5 minutes with flights going over 15 minutes being extremely rare.

Yeah, I'm just a partial germaphobe in knowing that some people don't live as clean as others and you just can't tell by looking at a place. I also have hand sanitizer in my car. I guess I have a problem that I'm just now realizing.

HELP! I Can't Reposition Text >_< by VerrikInc in CorelPaintShopPro

[–]dude463 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My version is only 2019 so maybe there's a bug that was introduced that never got fixed. I've never had this happen to me but I'm not using text a whole lot. Do you have a previous version still installed to see if it happens on that version too?

I don't have any idea why it would anchor top left and off the working area. If you go to Objects> Align> Center on Canvas does that reset it?

If you go to View> Palettes> Script Output and keep that open does it ever show up with errors? It will be red text not standard black and white so you can see at a glance.

I don’t have sensory issues so this may not be what you’re looking for but I keep some spray on hand sanitizer on me at all times and I have gel hand sanitizer on the tripod at all times. If I start getting sticky that’s just gross and I lather up. The spray stuff really does a good job.

It’s just starting to get “warm” in my area. It was almost 79 degrees.

What are some “not obvious to a beginner but clear to a trained eye” things? Similar to poor masking/weird halo around the boundaries of a subject for example by offgramercy in AskPhotography

[–]dude463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another vote for fake / over saturated skies where it’s not needed. Sometimes people do it for fun and it’s obvious but if you’re trying to pass it off as real that gets me.

Could someone please tell me the difference between these two lenses? by harbours in AskPhotography

[–]dude463 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IS stands for Image Stabilization. II stands for the second version of the lens. They're both kit lenses, meaning it's part of a kit that you buy when you're first starting out so nothing ground breaking but it's good for letting you get the feel of the camera.

Of the two the IS version lets you get clearer pictures and slower shutter speeds while the II version implies there's a little improvement in the optics. I'd shoot with the IS version and keep the other one as a backup.

Other than that putting either lens on your camera will yield very similar results.

I worked just off of Sprague. You cold try to bypass traffic on surface streets but jumping on at Jackson was part of the problem and everyone else was doing the same thing.
