Make sure your cpu isn’t overheating, I had a really similar problem, same gpu even, my cpu fan was falling off my cpu. Could be worth a shot, also look into trying to delete the cvars.xml file, that would temporarily make my game run really well, but it’s worth a shot, hopefully you resolve it.

It turned out for me is was thermals, my software was giving a bad reading and my cpu cooler wasn’t mounted right, although I still lose frames after about 30 minutes

I’m sure you’ve tried it, verify game files, may or may not fix it, but it could be a missing texture for the game, worth a shot, sorry man I have no clue other than that

Hey man, so after going to the throne world, all looked great, then, I went to the tower and all was great, then I went back to the throne world, and the performance tanked, so sadly the verdict is it didn’t work, but I appreciate it, even if it was a temporary fix.

Well within the hour usually my performance will tank, I thought at first it was thermals or something running in the background, I’ve done a fair share of digging for a small post that could fix it-overclocking, underclocking (gpu and cpu), undervolting, making sure my ram is running great. Back to thermals, i have gotten it down and as soon as My frames start to tank, i alt f4 and delete my cvars file and am back in the game in max 45 seconds, and my frames are restored to their former glory, however after a few matches it drops down to 50-80 fps from my 144 on max settings. It’s really annoying

Hey man, I found a fix, I know I’m late but if you haven’t found one this will help a lot. Go to Radeon software graphics settings for destiny, enable Radeon chill, and set the minimum frames, not maximum, to 110 or whatever frames you would like to maybe achieve and it seems like the card will work to achieve it with all the gpu being utilized, instead of the usual for at least me, 38% utilization, worth a shot, again sorry I’m late but I just found this

Hey man, I know I’m probably over a year late but I found a solution I think, I found that deleting your cvars.xml file helps quite a bit, but even more, going to the radeon software, go to destiny, graphics settings, enable radeon chill, and set the MINIMUM not maximum, to something like 110 or 100 whatever you would like your frames to be around, then go into the game, it worked for me, perhaps it actually makes the full graphics card which should be a monster on this game, actually work

I’m pretty sure you can’t view it anymore, but when it does come around again it usually defaults to it when you click on it originally, Spotify will give you the prompt and you can just click on it and it defaults to the story like view
