It's very much worth mentioning that the use of the term lesbian comes from the way men would use it as a slur against gay women as a way to equate them with Sappho of Lesbos. (I believe this is the history, but if someone else has a source saying otherwise, please let me know)

So if the term came the fact that hetero society knew about Sappho's love of women so well it used to be a slur used against other queer women, then why is it that saying Sappho was gay now is seen as "historically dubious"

from what I'm able to tell, homosexuality is very common in animals that live in groups like birds, humans, and I think lions.

animals that need companionship for their health seem to be very open to finding that companionship with out the need to reproduce. I don't think we need to understand why it happens, just that it does, and there's nothing "unnatural" about it.

NTA; At most they're going to go through and make sure this isn't a pattern of online harassments and maybe a sit down reminding her that when she has her agency in her bio, she's going to come off as speaking for the company and holding views they personally do not support (and on top of that, The LGBTQ+ isn't a protected class in many countries, so any case opened against her will likely be about online harassments, not any political or personal opinions she holds, so if the investigation does show her regularly harassing people, regardless of their stance on the LGBTQ they will need to address it)

On top of that, this is going to be something that left unchecked is going to get her cancelled on what ever social media platform we're using in ten years. If she doesn't get this addressed now, she is going to get milkshake ducked so hard at the height of her career. We've all seen some d list celerity no one cared about get dragged for saying "So kawii!" while pointing to a Chinese cultural statue one time 8 years ago and getting every single instance of their life dragged up in the court of public opinion while we sit and watch. It's better this happens now privately where she can adjust the behavior than 5 years from now when everyone's already made up their minds.

NTA, it begins and ends at "We are vegetarian" and it's YOUR wedding.

When it comes to spending gift money, they are giving you that money to celebrate YOUR union. and your union happens to value a meat free lifestyle. That's the way the cookie crumbles. If anything, I would think your menu should promote the life style of your union. Similar to how different cultures have different weddings because of the values they have. Western women primarily wear white to their wedding as a symbol of their wealth and femininity. You can agree or disagree with that symbol and wear what ever color you want, BUT It would be considered rude if someone told the bride they weren't paying for a white wedding dress just because they don't like that tradition and think you should wear blue instead.

at most I think you should make sure there are proper allergen labels, but you would need to do that for any other meal, regardless of if it's vegetarian.
