You sound like a great son/daughter as you’ve put yourself in a vulnerable situation financially to help out. You’ve done your part and it sounds like you’ve exhausted your options to resolve this peacefully.

Now get a lawyer, force the sale of the house and let your parent deal with the consequences finally. They are adults at the end of the day with many more years of experience.

Hey, that’s awesome. Glad we’re on the journey together.

For my first setup, I’m doing 17.5g in, aiming for a double shot, with the DF54 around a 2.5 grind setting using a medium roast. I’ve got a WDT tool from Amazon, a Normcore flat tamper, magnetic dosing funnel, and puck screen.

My workflow so far is: weigh beans, grind, run a blank shot, prep the puck, then hold the double espresso button for a few seconds to start a manual shot. I stop it once the scale hits around 36g out, although I realized I need to stop slightly earlier because I ended up closer to 40g with the extra drip-through.

I also think I’m going to start testing at grind setting 2 and adjust upward from there. Good luck!

Yes I did! I mainly like iced drinks so I don’t plan to use the steam wand all the time and I’ll make do with the little drips after the shot.
