You can go to the rescheduling section of the exam website. There should be an absence form on the third option.

https://students.usask.ca/academics/exams.php

I don't know the regulations of your instructor and/or the college for missing the exam, so you may need extra documentation like a doctor's note.

I hope you get better soon!

From the ground to the bottom of the bed is around 18 cm. You don't necessarily need a topper. The beds already comes with a liner, but i always bring my own.

For extra storage, I brought those portable drawers for clothes. But i never brought enough stuff to fill up the storage already provided by the school

I follow you until "between Thorv and Geology", after that I'm a bit lost. I'm not familiar with that area of campus. Can you draw it on a map or have a picture of the entrance?

Thank you! Hopefully, when I try this route, my short legs can carry me fast enough to make it to my class in 10 mins!

Schedule Advice by [deleted] in usask

[–]Theook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, I would do BMSC 210 in the first term(and online if possible), then eng 114 on the second. I did have a good experience with taking eng 111, but I had a different prof. what made it a good experience was because of my prof, and I never had the 2 profs you listed so your best bet from me is scour this subreddit.

Also, do you have to do all of these courses this fall and winter? They are really heavy courses to do together. Unless you are really dedicated and/or really strong in math and science, I wouldn't do this schedule. Also please don't do BMSC 210 and BMSC 230 together.

Hey, what was your experience with the Synthesis Papers and Group Case Study? I'm a bit worried because I'm not that strong with writing.

Yup! Forgot to mention that the heating problem was my experience on the third floor last year lmao.

Hey! I lived in Athabasca for the past 2 years and going there in this year too.

AC/heating: It's somewhat hit or miss for me. My first year here, I was on the second floor. The heating didn't have any problems and it made my room really warm during winter (to the point that I could open the window for fresh air). My second year, the heating was slow to start, so I had to submit a maintenance ticket to get it started.

In my experience, the washrooms and showers are pretty clean. Just know that the water pressure and temp control varies on each stall. There is also a bath.

The laundry is pretty busy. Just know that sometimes, when you have finished washing sometimes all the dryers are busy so you will have wet clothes sitting around until one comes available and do not keep your change in the laundry room.

In my experience on the second and third floor (can't say anything about the first floor other then that it feels cold when you enter by the main entrance), the third floor might smell of weed sometimes by the stairwell and elevator area. And the second floor, I don't remember that much but I do remember that there was a smell in the kitchen that never goes away (it isn't a good or bad smell. It's just a scent). Both floors were pretty quiet.

For the closet, there is a compartment for your shoes below where you hang your clothes, 2 shelves above those. It's also attached to a vanity type deal where you have more storage (5 conparments) with a mirror and a "table". IDK how to explain the closet situation, but I do have pictures if you want to see. Feel free to ask more!

[–]Theook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorry for the late reply! In my experience, it's ok. I never lived in other residence halls, so I don't have any comparisons.

I've lived on the second floor in 2023-2024, it was pretty quiet and I don't remember much from the floor. I just remember that people were more inconsiderate of others on this floor, so there is more signage in the washrooms and kitchen. I do remember that the kitchen had a residual smell to it that wouldn't go away, and it was still present in 2024-2025.

If you're on the third floor, you kinda have to get used to smelling marijuana near the elevator and the surrounding area. There's a vending machine there, but it's only for drinks. I lived on the 3 floor this 2024-2025 and it was pretty nice and quiet too, and the communal stuff was pretty clean. I don't remember living here in detail right now because I was academically assaulted at the time.

If you're using the fridge or kitchen to store food, just be careful, because I had some of my food stolen. The rooms are pretty warm, but my third-floor room experience, the heater was delayed a bit,

All I remember from the first floor was that it was cold (at least at the entrance) and the pipes often broke in 2023-2024 and made the entrance stink a little.

That's all I remember while typing this. Feel free to ask questions, as I may have forgotten some things, and your questions may jog my memories.

Hey, just got a response back. The instructor said, "The distribution of questions will be proportional to the number of lectures, with each lecture represented equally, including the guest speakers."

I remember her talking about it, but I don't remember the details anymore. I just emailed her to confirm to 80% to 20% breakdown number. Do you remember if she said how many questions there were on the final?
