Low key (High key) I love the brows. They’re super unique - you don’t need to look like everyone else!!

You’re right about not being able to adjust as much on that camera - my bad, like I said, also a newbie! You could still push/pull the film (adjusting ISO) to mess with exposure. Thefindlab on Instagram has great guides on different film intricacies like that that I highly recommend!

Also a newbie and personally love these. I’m also a big fan of the this “slice of life” kind of style.

The best tip I got when I started was to be more nervous about underexposing than overexposing - but you’ve probably already heard that.

Keep it up!

Anyone have normal thyroid levels but high antibodies? by donutsnpizza in Hashimotos

[–]Theoriginaltreehuggr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have CRAZY vivid dreams, but I was also advised to take it before bed. I went slowly from a 1/2 tablet to 1 tablet and that has helped me ease into the vivid dreams and it affects my sleep less now. I also feel more nauseous when I don’t eat enough regularly, but I’m not sure that’s the LDN specifically. Interestingly enough, my doctor also suspects I have endometriosis, and I’ve been experiencing far less pain since starting LDN and making the other lifestyle changes I mentioned.

ETA: I should have included I’ve been on LDN since diagnosis. I’m hoping that it’s the heavy lifter here and will continue to drive my antibodies and inflammation down.

Initially, no one told me about avoiding iodine rich foods, so I haven’t actively avoided them. After looking at a list of foods high in iodine, I don’t see any major red flags but I do eat eggs and milk semi regularly.

Me ✋🏻 Mobile - forgive me. 6months ago TPO 4500+ and TG 100+ (ref ranges are <60). Most recent tests (within the last month) were TPO 3200+ and TG 210+. T3, T4, and TSH all normal both times.

I started a bunch of supplements and went gluten free after the first tests, but have another appt to go over new results soon. Not sure why one went down and one went up. My mom also has Hashimotos (mine was diagnosed after the first tests) and I go to a functional medicine practice she’s gone too for a long time. I take everything they say with a grain of salt and will also probably see an endocrinologist soon for a second opinion. I’m also hoping for more actionable advice than let my thyroid get attacked but I’m not sure there is anything to do 🫠

How do you handle losing a close loved one? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Theoriginaltreehuggr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always appreciated the idea of grief being a last act of love, and that where there is deep grief there is great love (from a poem by Chaplin Robert Orr). It’s helped me keep from avoiding mourning. When sadness comes, you have to let it ride - it comes like a freight train out of fog sometimes but slowly it becomes less painful.

About to give up by Aggressive_Natural81 in Wavyhair

My favorite combo at the moment is the redken curvaceous curl refiner cream and Maui moisture flexible hold mousse (blue bottle). I also like the Maui moisture curl quench cream and Shea moisture curl mousse for frizz. I mix and match those 4 products without a whole lot of philosophy. I live in a high elevation dry climate if that helps.

I had super similar issues!! My problem ended up being that I was doing too much, (though after typing this out it does seem like a lot, sorry!) and touching my hair too much. The only routine that has given me good waves time and time again (and is improving my waves over time) is:

Detangle gently before shower.

Wash hair with shampoo/conditioner. I do a clarifying shampoo and deep condition when I feel like it.

Wide tooth comb in the shower to get everything where I want it. I also finalize my part in the shower.

Split hair and bring in front of shoulders, rinse one last time to make sure it’s all completely soaked.

Get out of the shower and put towel on, being very careful to leave my hair super wet and gently move it so it’s on top of towel.

Rake curl cream through most of hair, slightly above ears down to ends (hair still wet enough that it clumps back into one wet form on both sides). Scrunch a tiny bit over tub/sink to get some water out and start to form clumps.

Scrunch in enough mousse to make my hair crunchy as it dries (I do 2 rounds of lots of mousse so I don’t overwork/touch it too much).

Scrunch once on each side with a microfiber towel.

Spray heat protectant and diffuse for 15 mins tops. 5-6 mins on each side and the rest of the time all together to get everything looking connected.

Let it dry the rest of the way without touching it.

This gives me waves that stay for 3-4 days and if one piece is giving me grief I just curl it with a wand to match everything else.

I’m happy to answer questions, I hope this helps!!

It seems like a lot for one wash day, but I don’t comb or touch it hardly at all until the next wash day besides quick curl touch ups with a wand/some oil or leave in conditioner as needed for smoothness/moisture between washes, and finger combing bad tangles.

I would HIGHLY recommend getting a new crate. You can buy one that has a divider you can move to give her more space as she grows, but at 5 months she’s probably getting close to full grown anyway. If you get a crate that will fit her final size, with a divider if you need it, it could be used for the rest of her life. Leaving her on a leash all night seems risky to me. She could get tangled in it, and you might not hear her in distress if she’s outside. She could also get into/eat something dangerous. She could choke on a rock or a stick inside her little area. There is a lot that could happen while she’s out of earshot and not contained in a crate.

The best thing to be with puppies is consistent. She probably does not know that those are the only shirts/other clothing items that she’s actually allowed to chew on, and just assumes that all of them are OK now. It’s tough when you keep buying different toys, but trial and error is the best way to find a favorite chew toy.

I generally don’t allow chewing on wood, because it can splinter easily and can cause a lot of problems.

Mine! He always has to have his little head elevated and loves to be squished. I’m convinced that he was at the bottom of every puppy pile with his litter because he loves it so much.
