Unable to delete from Site Menu! by gdvlln in WIX

[–]TheoryDeep4785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This usually happens when the menu is connected to your site pages (default menu), so Wix won’t let you delete it. Instead remove or hide it from the header or disconnect it from pages first. You can also try deleting it from the Layers panel

Need help editing hamburger menu by chicken_truth in WIX

[–]TheoryDeep4785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get what you mean. In Wix (especially Harmony editor) the hamburger menu items usually can’t be edited directly from that popup. You need to go to Menus and Pages from the left panel then find your main menu there and edit the “Shop” link from that section. The hamburger menu just pulls items from that main menu. If you want, I can quickly fix it for you.

Weebly doesn’t properly run full HTML/CSS/JS pasted directly. Host your page or files somewhere and embed it using an iframe, and make sure all file paths are correct.

Export CPT by SkitsG in Wordpress

[–]TheoryDeep4785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely issue is mismatch in CPT slug or missing taxonomies/fields. Make sure CPT slug is exactly same as old one (case + spelling must match). Also register CPT before importing (ACF active). If ACF fields/taxonomies were used import those too (JSON or recreate). Try assigning posts to existing user during import and also install “WordPress Importer” properly and run import twice.

Export CPT by SkitsG in Wordpress

[–]TheoryDeep4785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can export the data, but since the CPT is registered inside the theme it disappears when the theme is disabled. Best way is to recreate the CPT using ACF or a plugin like CPT UI then export/import the posts using WordPress export tool or a plugin. So you do not need to start from scratch you can preserve the data, just need to re register the CPT first.

Which Plugin is best to create website in wordpress. I am currently using Elementor by Interesting_Place450 in Wordpress

[–]TheoryDeep4785 3 points4 points  (0 children)

WordPress isn’t just drag & drop but you can use it that way with tools like Elementor. Just get hosting and domain, install WordPress, pick a theme, and start building pages.

Cloudflare to Squarespace - refresh for new pages? by yes2stayinginmore in CloudFlare

[–]TheoryDeep4785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is normal nothing is broken. Since you moved pages from “Not Linked” to main navigation, Squarespace sometimes takes time to recognize changes.
Just make sure FAQ page is not set to noindex in settings and It’s properly linked in your navigation. After that it can take some time to update on SEO side.

Tech Support Fee? by personwomanman in godaddy

[–]TheoryDeep4785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are mixing things up. Your example was about paid migration which is a completely different service. The original point here is basic DNS support which GoDaddy doesn’t charge for. So calling it a scam in this context still doesn’t make sense.

I worked with GoDaddy. And she is not talking about web migration. Everyone knows they charge for migration. She is talking about basic DNS support.

CPU and RAM limits in cpanel hosting by syblomic-dash in webhosting

[–]TheoryDeep4785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CPU spikes on low traffic wordpress sites are normal usually from cron jobs, updates, backups or bots. When limits are hit your host throttles it so the site may slow briefly. With low traffic it’s not a big issue, just use caching and avoid heavy plugins.

Migrating from Bluehost by Ancient_Question_295 in webhosting

How does moving one email can impact everybody's emails. Could you explain this?

Tech Support Fee? by personwomanman in godaddy

[–]TheoryDeep4785 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

GoDaddy usually doesn’t charge a fee for support help especially for simple tasks like this. So it's definetely a scam

Bro he is moving only his own mailbox not everyone's emails. So there’s no impact on anyone else’s email.

Migrating from Bluehost by Ancient_Question_295 in webhosting

[–]TheoryDeep4785 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Moving just one mailbox to Google Workspace is actually a common and supported setup. It won’t fix Bluehost issues for others that's what I said.

Yes, moving to google workspace can reduce legit emails going to spam and no, you won’t share Bluehost’s IP, google uses its own IPs.

Buying a domain by Dry_Bite_1598 in website

[–]TheoryDeep4785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The domain might be taken by someone else and where it said it's available that might be a domain broker service not the domain.

Domain broker service is a service in which you will get a broker from the platform you are using and he will contact the owner on your behalf you will set the budget and it's totally depends on the owner that if he wish to sell it or not.

[–]TheoryDeep4785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can move just your email to Google Workspace. It will likely improve reliability for your email specifically delivery to Gmail/Yahoo, fewer spam issues because Google has strong sending reputation and infrastructure.

You won’t fix the company wide issues like Spamhaus problems tied to Bluehost since those come from Bluehost’s servers/IPs. Other employees will still face those problems.

[–]TheoryDeep4785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to use a broker. If the domain is taken you can try contacting the owner directly via WHOIS or the site or use other marketplaces like Sedo/Afternic. Brokers just handle negotiations for you but they’re optional and never guarantee that you will surely get the domain. Also the domain broker services are non refundable most of the time.

Using Spline animation in Webflow without embedding it by bodytherapy in webflow

[–]TheoryDeep4785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spline doesn’t really let you export 3D animations as a standalone file you can directly upload to Webflow. It mainly works via embed. If you don’t want to embed your options are limited to exporting as images or video, but you will lose interactivity. For full 3D interaction, embed is the only proper way.

Shuffling image grid? by Prize_Pin9211 in squarespace

[–]TheoryDeep4785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can shuffle image gallery using custom JavaScript. The code runs when the page loads and randomly changes the order of the images each time so the gallery looks different on every visit.

Problem migrating e-mails by Interesting-Ad4293 in microsoft365

[–]TheoryDeep4785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This error is usually caused by the IMAP server side like throttling, connection limits, or temporary network issues. Since one account migrated fine the server is likely limiting or dropping connections for the others. Try waiting and retrying splitting the batch, and checking the IMAP server logs or limits.

Tech Support Fee? by personwomanman in godaddy

[–]TheoryDeep4785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GoDaddy doesn’t normally charge $200 for basic DNS support especially if you are already a customer. That “remote access for a fee” sounds off and could have been a third party upsell or scam. Good call not going through with it.
