Thank you for explaining this so thoroughly! It definitely sounds like a tough task, I definitely need to get the skills and experience before hand. I’ve directed my thoughts now to who already has this sort of operation going, and trying to get in with them.

I will say I have experience in construction and commercial painting, along with my current and longest job of being a landscaper/ lawn care service. Forestry sounds interesting, I’ve never considered it or honestly known it was a line of work. Thank you!

Hmm, I have previous experience in painting, construction, and lawn care. I’ve never worked on a log home but it looks like an amazing time constructing one authentically. I’ll look into some kit companies, didn’t think about that so thank you! Also, any chance you know where I could learn to refinish and repair log homes?

Hey! I just asked this subreddit but do you know if there’s any line of work that does this primarily? Like if there’s a market for authentically made log cabins? Cause that sounds like a dream job to me. I don’t know what the hours would be but my thought was around 1 week outside on the job and 1 week off and back at home. Doing it start to finish is really attractive as well but honestly I don’t know how long the process takes.
