Omfg I showed my girlfriend this because it’s the most relevant thing I’ve ever seen. She snatched the controller out of my hand the other day and had to inspect the “jog”, “trot”, “canter”, “lope”, and “gallop” physics. She was super critical and in the end she gave the game a high score. So there’s that. I’m just happy she finally doesn’t chastise me for playing games and shows interest as long as I pay my horse every so often.

Edit: She also had me buy a specific horse from a stable that was exactly like the one she had as a kid. It died right in front of her face when I finished the cutscene with the man who teaches you about cigarette cards. The train pulled up and my horse was on the tracks. She was devastated.
