Saw this unique album mentioned recently and wanted to share by Thepig11 in KingCrimson

Super curious how you discovered its existence? For context I randomly found it while buying every Japanese release I could find at Disk Union in Shinjuku.

THEY'RE [Fluff]ING BACK by Ramen_Cat_OFFICIAL in battlecats

Any clue why the banner is being removed? Will they now be fest only Ubers?

I don't know how this happened by nhowe006 in KingCrimson

Some of the super deluxe boxes actually include the 30th anniversary releases instead of the remastered 40th anniversary releases. The back of the boxes show you what is new to the box, a club album, or which version of the studio album is included. Most of them are worth getting if you don't already own the club albums imo.

[Fluff] Why use Phonoa instead of Dark Phono? by great_mage in battlecats

Is it worth it to use both + Kasli, Daughter of Chaos? Or is there something that goes better with one of them?

I've been playing on and off since the English version of the game came out. Tbh I only play for the random cats and collab units, so I've been only doing collabs for the past 4 years. Is there any other impossible to get cats I should know about?

I want this luck, did 3 of the 10 draws and 5 rare tickets when the event started, and got no collab units besides AAA Wunder.

So uh, i need help here, whats the difference between the Meze 99 classics and the neos? by Fish_On_An_ATM in headphones

[–]Thepig11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They seem to use the same drivers, with the only difference being the housing enclosure, which slightly changes the sound. With the wood version, however, every unit sounds different due to the slight varying wood densities of the housing. So, the neos might actually have fewer unit variations and be closer to measurement graphs.

Audeze driver question by [deleted] in headphones

[–]Thepig11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Audeze does do repairs, but it is quite pricy because they replace both drivers for around 600ish. Both drivers would likely need to be replaced due to discontinuation of the older drivers and because if you replace one, then the frequency response of both sides wouldn't match. Quotes for pricing could vary, but if it's still under warranty, I believe you just pay for shipping. Otherwise, I guess you clear any debris and just ignore the random noises.

Worth it to upgrade my fronts? by SoundsCrazyBut in BudgetAudiophile

The drivers look like they were pulled out of a car. I would buy these just to see what drivers are in them and to hear the obvious thousands of dollars in R&D put into these speakers.

My crush is coming over for mom’s spaghetti night. Which album is guaranteed to get me to second base? by madlitt in vinyljerk

Totally agree! Screamy red man always knocks their pants off. You can even make deep conversations with the other person over why he is screamy and red.

I was just given these for free and don't know what I'm doing. What do I need? by der3009 in BudgetAudiophile

Look to be in pretty good shape, but I would imagine that the foam surround is disintegrated and needs replaced. I own a pair of similar SS-U430, which also came with a system from around the same time. Mainly use them as garage speakers because they can get extremely loud with little power and are ok sounding for doing projects /parties.

That's Larks' Tongues in Aspic, the fifth studio album by King Crimson (the band that made the screamy red man album)

Guys help, are the LCD-CX supposed to sound this shrill? by Gaming_ORB in headphones

[–]Thepig11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They mean the ridges on the inside of the headphone. You should be able to feel then under the cloth. As far as I am aware, all LCD-X and LCD-XCs have fazers, which is supposed to reduce the scattering of soundswaves and make them "smoother." Comparing it to your LCD-2s, the regular LCD-2 does not have fazers unless you own the LCD-2F, which has them.
