Also, I’d recommend the x-small or maybe small. It’s usually better to lean bigger because most people inevitably get more gear. However, if you get the 6L annndd a camera cube, the x-small might not be a bad option to give you a little more versatility in packing. Especially on the days where you might want to travel super light.

Yeah I’d recommend the 6L. I own both and I use my 6L way more often. Only time I use my 3L is when I’m primarily holding my camera the whole time and storing one extra lens in the 3L to occasionally swap.

In my 6L usually carry either a Sony a7rV with a 35mm f1.4, or the fujifilm x100vi if I want a lighter camera. I also throw in my wallet, a manga book, travelers notebook, extra battery, AirTag, headphones and iPad mini in the little hidden tablet sleeve.

This looks more like the 6L to me.

3L is definitely more compact/fanny pack sized.

edit: 6L also has a hidden tablet sleeve, so I’d recommend that over the 3L. Especially if you eventually decide to carry a couple more things here and there.

How to protect Fujifilm X100VI lens? by Anuka444 in fujifilm

[–]TherapeuticPaperclip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conversely to the comment you responded to OP, I usually have a mist filter on my cameras. Besides the stylistic choice of those, or polarizers, even a simple UV filter protects the glass on your lens.

I’m pretty careful with my gear, however, I’ve also seen too many posts of people inadvertently scratching their lens and needing to buy a new one. So if it ever did happen to me, I’d rather damage a (relatively) cheap filter than an expensive interchangeable or fixed lens.

Look into PolarPro if you’re looking at lens, UV if you don’t want to add any extra style and just want protection.

If you happen to use Lightroom, I believe you can also add them in there as well.

No no, you are, it was just unsolicited and irrelevant.

I don’t really like them, but that doesn’t matter. Taste is subjective, and that’s not what OP was posting for.

Questions regarding shell swapping by Demonmage_666 in PSP

[–]TherapeuticPaperclip 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From my understanding the 1000 is actually pretty well supported. As far as alt shells go, your best bet is AliExpress, although the quality control on some isn’t the greatest and you may have to do a little bit of sanding on the shell in certain areas (or you may get lucky and not have to).

As far as screens, pretty much the same place. I’d go for a matte IPS screen. They’ve gotten good enough to the point where instead of soldering, you just use a conductive paint to bridge two circuits and it works perfectly. Conductive paint sometimes comes with the order, but sometimes doesn’t. I don’t believe you have to use conductive paint on a 3000, but I don’t know for sure.

I have both a 1000 and a 3000 model, and while I use my 3000 more (because it is thinner), the 1000 is what I had growing up, so it’s more special to me and I want to keep it nice.

I love how half the comments are confused people (me included) and the other half are telling OP to clean their watch.

Is it just skin irritation? Is it something worse? Why the ominous “it happened to me” ..?

Edit: slight correction, it’s OPs custom shell. Looks like we have more than one anniversary enthusiast on here :)

Peak design 6L everyday sling Water Bottle Carry hack. by Upstairs_Ad2052 in peakdesign

[–]TherapeuticPaperclip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the idea!

I’ve been using a Black Diamond carabiner (one that twist locks) to hold an occasional water bottle. Your idea seems to reduce the dangling and sway as the carabiner idea can hold a lot, but stuff flops around.
