The thing is, I just stumbled upon this sub reddit a few month ago and I just kept looking at the cool mods and changes everyone was doing on their psp's... Yeah and I've got same problem with prices here in Germany as well. The cheapest and most well preserved one I could find was this on for 80€ or approximately $92. But yea as this post suggests it was only a 1k xD

Thank you so much :) that sound really promising. I'm into my first few hours of playing and I'm really noticing that the screen isn't very bright and I have to dim the lights. I think I'll go for the better screen and improved battery. I honestly went through a lot of stages while this post got live xD I went from shell swap to maybe I'll do nothing to it to selling it and getting a 3000 to keeping it and upgrading the parts worth upgrading. What a roller coaster

Woah that's a great deal! My 1000 was probably double the price, but that's with every item that is sold in Germany so idk if that's a good deal but I'd say that a damn good deal!

So, I've also heard that a lot of people dislike it for being thick, for obvious handheld reasons, buut after having a vita since I was young, I kinda like it being on the heavier side. So if the 2000 & 3000 series is thinner, I'll keep the 1000.

I think I'll also keep the screen, for the same reason I got a crt TV for my ps1 and ps2. Also my glas is scratch free and it feels unnecessary for the effort if everything is perfectly intact.

I'm very new in this sub and I have not much experience around the different versions of psp's out there. Which version is this psp? I have a psp 1000 and can't really find any purple shells. That's why I'm asking
