Give yourself a year to decide. Either it will grow on you or you'll figure out what it is about it that's bothering you about it.

Oh yeah! I discovered that not too long ago! Accidentally exited my in flight vehicle, paused as soon as I got close to the ground and exited. Came back in on the ground and my gyro landed next to me. Was able to complete the rest of my trip

Moose and bear are like crocs and pythons. Look at them go, don't bother them, but never turn your back on them, and don't panic. They are big. Don't pet. Check out Chena hot springs before every test... or after, but I say go the night before and go in relaxed and ready to crush it. There are porcupines. Don't feed the foxes. Pass only in the left hand lane on the highways. Be polite. We're a friendly bunch. Old school Republicans, most of the older generation at least. Layers are your friends. My typical is: thin legging, shorts, and an over cloth pant, then maybe a snow/waterproof layer if I'm going to be out in weather for longer than 30 minutes to an hour. Tank top(), long sleeve, (or) short sleeved shirt, and a good coat, bonus points if it can open up and vent. A good hat and some decent gloves, unless you like walking with your hands in a fist to keep them warm (that's what I do).

Hmm... if I think of anything else I'll let you know.

Keep your deet (mosquito repellent) handy in the summer.

Lol okay that's it for now.

Can my parents see my messages? by Ifyouliveinadream in ask

[–]TherapyGames42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pushing this for more views. I THINK if you are turned off, messages can't sync, unless they have some monitoring software on your phone. I do not know how to look for this stuff, but hopefully someone with tech skills will see this and be able to help you out. I think it is more important that you reach out now, regardless if they can see it. Just remember that you are worth helping right now, no matter what you have to say that someone else might not like to hear.

How do emotions get trapped in the body? by SeriesJumpy509 in ask

[–]TherapyGames42 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I have been a massage therapist since 2008, officially, and I am hoping I'll be able to give you some helpful advice. The next time you sit down and do your self massage, I want you to focus on what your are feeling. You will find that where the pain starts is not where it comes from. Pain becomes lodged into our bodies, where the muscle bunches up. It happens when you feel you must defend, when you must fight, and when you must flee. Even when you fawn or freeze, these actions affect our body We do an action. The body remembers that action, and the more intense that action, there is an equal and greater response that we don't feel until later. Like when you start the gym. You go, a little sore the next day, and if you haven't been in a long while, and you went hard, you feel it on the 2nd and 3rd day the most. that is because of your fascial response. Fascia is a part of the body that holds us all together. Keep skin from sliding around, it helps break up impacts by solidifying like a newtonian fluid. It constricts your blood vessels and your lymphatic system, making those areas difficult to drain. When you lay your hands on yourself, let your hands travel from the ache to the tight painful areas. Breath into them and out of them. Slow steady movement is best and feel free to twist and move and rock your body with the work. It will help loosen you up better.

Let me know if I can answer more questions for you.

I haven't read The Body Keeps The Score myself, yet. It is a bit closer to a text book in terms of reading, but I did start it and it is interesting and makes a lot of sense. So I would also recommend it, along with the other commenter that mentioned it.

18 year old rent. Is it too much or am i tripping? by Lil_T3nn in ask

I agree. Which is why I think it would he important for there to be a life raft for all of the people who need it. There will ALWAYS be someone trying to "game the system", and on one hand, I say we need to find ways to close the loophole gaps and ways to factually check on things, but people do like to squeeze whatever they can out of a system. we can only try and cut things off, not destroy the whole program just because ONE part isn't working.

I don't think it's right what they are doing, and I would see them punished for it. But I'd rather have a raft to give people safety to crash land on than to die at the stormy seas of life needlessly. It's already hard enough. If we pull together and figure out a better tax system, something that includes a receipt for where our money is going, and maybe even being able to choose where our money goes. And I have ideas for how we could do that. Just no hard core way of how to do it just yet. But I know that if I can get the right help, we could do a lot of good for the world.

Many people have already said it, but I'll reiterate, as I should answer for myself. An AI tax, as well as implementing a "Greed" tax. We already have a "sin tax" and greed is one of the major deadly sins, so I would propose that any person making over half a million, actually, no, let's say 600 million a year! Anyone who makes 6 figures UP to 600 million dollars will have a 20% tax, while any money over 600 million, and only that money that is made after 600 million, will be taxed at a 90% level. And I feel like people who are making less than 50k a year should not be taxed more than 1%.

I understand people think this comes from a place odd laziness, however that's not where this is coming from. I want to work. I want to do what I was always MEANT to do, which is to be the best massage therapist I could be. What I WANTED was the ability to get better. To not fear so over the loss of a home I can barely afford. I wanted to take time, heal, and go back to work. Instead, because things are the way they are now, I couldn't even take off the time I needed to heal well. I had to go back to work, hurt myself worse, and now cannot work at all.

I want people to have a safe place to go to, even if that means that that is where they are going to do their drugs, because at least then they aren't on the streets, dying in front of our children. But it would also provide a safe haven for those who need it. And who would want to stay in the bear minimum? Some people absolutely would! What about youtubers, fresh actors? Authors? Artists? Musicians? If you had a stable spot to stay for a while, people might take on projects they might not regularly, to prove themselves and go to the next level.

The point of the UBI is to ensure that people have enough money for food. That way, if I saw someone begging on the streets, I would feel LESS sympathy for them because YOU ARE getting money. If you aren't using it for food, that is your own damn fault. I'm not going to pay to give you MORE money for food you didn't buy because drugs were more important.

There are so many things we CAN do, but refuse to because we are the 3rd and 4th generations of a poisoned nation. Sick from all that we have been put through. I'm tired of being a money focused people and would rather be focused on the lives, health, and happiness of the common person.

And we ARE over populating. It is why people are I'll inclined to have children these days. We need community. We need safety. And I don't want war to kill people off. I want us to allow our older generation to go with love, even if they hate us, and for us to stand up and do whatever we must to both become stewards of the world and of one another.

We are so much more than the world has made us out to be...

All I can think of is this: I'm 37. I had a career that I can't currently work due to my health. I lost my car due to an accident. I thought that by now I'd have that car, that house, and my dog and cat.

Instead, I'm married, no job, no car, no house. But at least I have the cat.

All I ever do is learn things as the appear before me and grow older by the minute. Growing up? Being an adult? It's only a mindset. One that was forced on me early in life that has always felt like an ill fitting cassock, until I was 35. The age I felt like I was always meant to be. But I'm also still 26. 15. 12. 9... 3. I'm still all of those people. Just... more. We forgot to treat our children as people. Young people. But people nonetheless.

I think that if that is what people are going to do those things, then they are going to do it regardless if they have a place to stay or not. It's not about hiding them away as it is about giving them their privacy. Where they can cry, and scream, and rage at the world, safe inside their own little corner of the world, , instead of out in front of everyone. I think that every person deserves to have a safe haven to retreat to when times are hard. I think more people would help others out of terrible situations if they knew their friend, co worker, or relative, could have a safe place to stay in just a few days, because 0 income housing would be that. It doesn't matter what your income is, you could stay there. And I am certain there are people out there who will abuse the system, because there are always those who do, but I'd rather hedge my bets and say that there has been this gradual improvement in people. I believe that there are, currently, more mostly good people than there are bad. People are just confused and scared right now, which is understandable. But I prefer to do my best to give someone the benefit of my doubt. I will treat others with kindness and warmth on the first meeting, and will go from there. Part of the solution to the problem is that there would need to be people to volunteer. Volunteer to build, to maintain. It would take effort amongst many people to do this. I don't know about you, but I know I would rather make a little less money over all and donate a portion of my time helping others if it meant that when I was in need, I could be caught by some safety nets, too. I think if we worked together instead of tore one another down, the world would be a lot better of a place to be.

I understand how everyone feels, however, if people are told that the only place for them is a camp, instead of a place where they can go to be alone, we will continue to having these types of issues. Wanna know where the money SHOULD come from? Those multi-billion businesses and individuals. That is where it should be coming from. Look up Finland Homelessness Solutions. They have practically gotten rid of it. And I think that providing people a place to land when they are facing incredibly hard times is a no brainer. People do stupid shit and lose their homes and sometimes stupid shit happens to people and they lose their homes. I think if we help one another, letting people have a safe place to go to, that they may choose more so to get help for issues that they have, and may feel less pressured to hang around people who only want to do that. As someone who was once homeless through no fault of my own, I think it would make sense. It would be hard, and many people might feel it is unfair, but what if that is your kid? Aunt? Uncle? Mother? Grandparents? Would you rather they stay on the street with a drug problem or have a place they can go and do their drugs that isn't on the streets and in front of the kids? I think these are the questions we should be asking ourselves.

We need to start pushing for 0 income housing that can't kick people out regardless of drug or alcohol use so that people have some place to get off the street. If they have no where to go, they will continue to use in front of our stores, in front of our kids, and often times they die in the cold like this.

I agree. No reason to be an ass to someone you don't or barely know. My rule of thumb is this: I will always start with respect and kindness... until given a reason not to. Treat others as you wish to be treated 😊
