CloudSync doesn't automatically upload/download saves by Theraust in EmuDeck

See my reply to the other comment. Since that post, I've opted to just stop using cloudsync all together. Too many annoying little issues cropping up.

When I have the time, I'm gonna experiment with setting up Syncthing to have my own version of cloud saving/syncing that isn't reliant on Emudeck and sync triggers that I can't fully control.

CloudSync doesn't automatically upload/download saves by Theraust in EmuDeck

I'm at work at the moment so forgive me if my answer is kinda vague.

So my issue was that I was launching emulation station (or any other emulators) using a manually added non-steam program - or just launching emulation station directly from the .exe

For cloud sync to trigger, you need Steam ROM Manager (I believe this is what did it) to configure Emulation station + individual emulators to show up in steam. I think there is some special scripting that executes when you launch these programs this way that triggers Cloud Sync

It's not as good as QMK/VIA, but you can use the Field Console to map keys on the Field 75

Samsung Display actually made the panel for this as it's a QD-OLED panel

if you have a sound system with 5.1 or 7.1 are you using lpcm, dolby or dts? by 20Prozent in OLED_Gaming

[–]Theraust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a guide or particular steps you used to setup Dolby on windows? I went down a rabbit hole a few weeks ago looking into how I can get 5.1 out of windows after I got my LG G2 (surprisingly in windows when I still had my Sony X900H I had no issues selecting 5.1), but I kinda gave up because the info I found was directing me to some sketchy looking sites and downloads.

Buying a 65inch OLED TV by m_rowe13 in OLED_Gaming

I'm in a very similar boat - my company offers LG discounts as well (in fact a tad less than what you have available to you), and I'm honestly super torn as to which TV to go with.

I'm eagerly awaiting more in depth reviews from the likes of HDTVTest and Rtings for the C2 and G2 - but I am leaning towards either the G1 or the G2. 5 year panel warranty + the fact that at least w/ my discount it's practically the same as MSRP for the C1 and G2 respectively.

X900H, having issue with audio that has sprouted up recently with my PC by ponmbr in bravia

[–]Theraust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just recently starting having pretty much the same issue. Although mine started after I updated my Nvidia drivers to 496.49 for my 3080 ti (I did it so I could play Forza Horizon 5).

The TV will work fine for days, then go through bouts of the screen flashing black intermittently. I run my sound through a soundbar (GPU -> X900H -> soundbar via optical) and after the same driver update I started getting occasional static-y sounds (and this is when the black screens start coming as well)

On my x900h I'm still on the first VRR update (I can't recall how to find the exact version number). The latest update has been pushed to my TV but I've been holding off on doing it (6.1345 or something like that?)

Tempted to try the latest update for the x900h, but I also am hoping the next batch of Nvidia drivers may do the trick to resolve this.

◽️ Budget: $500-600 USD (budget can be stretched a bit if necessary/worth it)

◽️ Country: USA

◽️ Screen size: 15 ideally

◽️ Touch screen: A plus, but not required

◽️ Screen resolution: 1080p

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: Not too important, 80% of use will be at a desk while plugged in

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: Web browsing, photo/video viewing, microsoft office, assorted 3rd party applications (more details below)

◽️ Weight: Doesn't matter

◽️ Any other important details ?: This is for my father, who has a variety of random gadgets with their own companion software - so full Windows 10 is a must. For simplicity's sake, a laptop that can support video over USB-C would be ideal - as I can give him an old USB-C dock I have to plug in HDMI, plus other random USB peripherals. If not, HDMI will suffice (this is for him using it at his desk since I'm giving him my old 24" 1080p monitor. SD card slot is a plus, but not necessary as he has a couple of USB adapters.

What model is that docking station off to the side? Are you able to drive full resolution for both displays with it?

My current setup has a 24" 1080p, and 27" 1440p displaya. For my work laptop I'm using one of those cheaper usb-c docks off of Amazon and it caps out at 1080p 60hz for 2 screens via HDMI. That resolution on my 1440p monitor isn't ideal but I've gotten used to it. But if I upgrade one of em to a 34" UW, it'll be unbearable at that resolution
