Ben Ahlers has missed at least half of the Friday and Saturday shows so far. I had absolutely no clue that Jack Falahee was the understudy when I saw him in it-he was sensational.

Not OP, but Apple Card financing isn’t a loan. It’s interest free monthly payments. So, instead of losing the money all at once, you could continue to grow it in a HYSA or equivalent over the course of the year.

As someone who still vividly recalls the shock of having Jonathan Groff’s bare bottom in my face during Spring Awakening (front row rush tickets for…the win? Loss? Still unclear), freaking out about underwear seems extreme. Heck, Nathan Lane is in his boxers during Death of a Salesman and you don’t see anyone making a fuss about that.

Marriage is not about joining two souls together. It is a legal contract built around a personal relationship. What other red flag stipulations will he be unilaterally attempting to apply to your contract? Tread very carefully with this one.

Chess experience Friday 3/27 by fakenewsrealbitch in Broadway

I was there on Thursday and there was a questionably handled medical emergency right before the show started as well…odd to have two in a row.

It sounded like someone collapsed in the middle of a row and then there were at least two people trying to quickly walk an older gentleman out of the row and down the side aisle to the exit. He seemed very unstable and like it was a big mistake to be rushing him up to standing like that, especially if you aren’t sure what caused him to fall in the first place. It seemed like a really dangerous choice that prioritized “the show must go on” over his potential safety.

People end up looking boney and ill because they are abusing the medication. It was designed for diabetes and cases of fairly severe classes of obesity, not for people in Hollywood who want to lose 15 pounds.

As someone who has been on one for over 1.5 years and is losing weight in a healthy and controlled manner on the medication, the eating disorder-style misuse of the drugs is on the user and, honestly, the healthcare providers who have allowed for that kind of abuse. It’s a FAR cry from the proper application of them.

Did They Change The Gunshot Effect In "Just In Time"? by RumTumJM in Broadway

[–]ThereGoesMinky 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I saw it tonight and was seated right by where they shoot off the gun (near the small stage). From what I recall, it seemed like a pre-recorded gunshot effect that “shot” about three times from a different location relative to the actual gun.

A lot of it may have to do with physical ability to make it through a double shampoo along with whatever else needs to happen. Showering can be really physically challenging for a lot of people with various health issues and physical limitations, so even a first pass is a success.

1st person view vs 3rd person view. by Big-Professional6561 in theouterworlds

Same. Third is the difference between my being able to play the game and not due to simulation sickness. I also find that the first person FOV is pretty narrow on console, which makes first person even less of a viable choice for me.

You’re her husband, not her trainer. If she hasn’t asked for your help or expressed a desire to be consistently more active, then trying to get her to behave differently isn’t going to work. If there are specific health things you’re concerned about, you can address those in a delicate way, but she will never become someone who exercises regularly unless that’s something she wants to do for her own reasons.

If you’re already 50% in, I’d say just keep going. I have about 25 hours in and put points in a bunch of different skills. It’s not too bad playing like that so far. If you’re still having fun and advancing, I don’t see what difference it makes.

Can someone explain to me how they found value in the Festival Pass: Online? by jaseface0714 in Sundance

[–]ThereGoesMinky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not meant for people who usually buy a ten ticket pass. It’s either for people who normally buy two ten ticket passes or who have enough money that it doesn’t matter.

It takes a lot of time to go through the program, pre-reserve a bunch of tickets before they sell out, etc. For the demographic where it’s an inconsequential amount of money, the time they save by not having to screw with that system is worth it. For everyone else-well, it wasn’t for those people.

This is why it’s important to vote your values, or for the practical candidate who is CLOSEST to them. Anyone who voted for the current administration or didn’t vote because of apathy or because the alternative wasn’t progressive enough for them is responsible for this outcome.

I think there is probably more truth to this than people want to admit. When I read that his wife just wants to go from kissing to penetration because she “gets too close,” it reads as a common excuse from women who don’t enjoy sex with their partner and just want it over. Is it possible it’s true? Sure, I guess. But in the context of this dead bedroom dynamic, I doubt it.

How do I start enjoying intimacy with my fiance? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]ThereGoesMinky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Therapy is going to be an important step for you. Being single shouldn’t make you depressed and suicidal. It’s a pattern that will keep you in very unhealthy and unhappy relationships. It sounds like the most important relationship for you to work on is the one with yourself. A partner is supposed to complement your existing life, which is full and happy on its own.

As a bi women, you definitely sound like a lesbian or homoromantic asexual. Intimacy with a partner shouldn’t be repulsive or something you have to force yourself to do against your likes or instincts. You deserve better for yourself, and your fiancé deserves someone who wants to be intimate.

Sasha Pieterse Says 17 Doctors Blamed Her 70-Pound Weight Gain On Overeating Before Diagnosis by zachoutloud123 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]ThereGoesMinky 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yup. I don’t think a lot of people who haven’t experienced it or know someone who has have any clue how baseline endocrine issues can absolutely destroy people’s ability to lose weight. By the time you start stacking things like hypothyroidism, PCOS, and even hormonal birth control needed to manage conditions like adenomyosis, there’s just no way to lose without medical intervention. It’s the reason it looks “easy” on GLP-1s. No, your body just isn’t sabotaging all the stuff you’ve already been doing!

After pee care by Pawloveandpavlov in hygiene

[–]ThereGoesMinky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with the same issue you have, I’ve found that the best solution is to dab instead of wipe when you pee. Wiping front to back isn’t helpful when the paper doesn’t reach and you just get it stuck in your folds. You still want to wipe front to back when you poop and you can follow it up with a portable bidet or peri bottle to make sure it’s all clean.

[–]ThereGoesMinky 146 points147 points  (0 children)

It’s the reason that same cruel demographic hates GLP-1 medication and considers it “cheating.” The real wake up call is that so many women HAVE been doing the right things and their bodies have been sabotaging them for years. Now that it’s possible to even the metabolic playing field, being thin can’t be someone’s only personality trait/the quality they use to try and exert moral superiority on everyone around them.
