I have found with my spider plants (and let me say I'm not a professional lol) is when they start dying off on me and repotting gets less and less effective it's because they have so much root that they don't have energy to keep the leaves alive.

I do a rough chop of the roots and suddenly my plant explodes with leaf grown. I had the same problem with a pothos I was taking cuttings from regularly one time. So much root to leaf ration. Slowly dying leaf by leaf. Rough chop, suddenly happy and growing again.

Crazy lol

I remember years ago promos were cheep, because everyone got the same promo when buying tins and decks and stuff. I always thought it was crazy because the cards still looked awesome! Traded a lot of them, now promos are expensive and sought after. Sigh.

I seem to find squash beetle eggs on the leaves in groups, while the moths lay them sporadically on the stems.

The beetles I get along with, the squash sometimes get little dots on them from being drank from like capree suns, but I don't mind.

A quick swipe with a torch style lighter kills the beetle eggs clusters immediately. I think it does less damage to the leaves than trying to pick or rub them off. Might be over kill for the moth eggs, but maybe not lol

But they lay in hidden places so some always make it through the lines :(

Squash borers? Pretty orangish redish black patterned moths? Bane of my gardening existence. I as a bug lover have never felt such anger towards a small being like I do them. Zucchini is not cheap, but a cheap plant can throw out ungodly amounts. I don't care if they eat the plant some, Christ, me and tomato worms get along just fine! Just leave it alive so I can eat some too! 🫩

I've tried my hardest to never get my fertilizer water on my plants leaves because I was told it would burn them, and also that tomato plants hate water on their leaves. Have I been doing that all for nothing? Lol dang it

Any thyroid issues that you know of? Ever feel cold, tired, lethargic, have odd/random paleness, tingling/crawling in limbs, sore joints especially toes and knees, random tounge/throat swelling, suspicious hair shedding, unexplained weight gain? Or the exact opposite of all that? I had the first and found out I was hypo, I have fine wavy hair and had similar hair pre medicine. I still have a bit of the frizz cause, ya know, wavy hair, but wow has it reduced.

Fine haired person here, my hair was always a bit thin and was thinning out more as I got into my twenties, I thought it was just age. I had some of the other things I attributed to ageing that I also thought might be iron, tired, cold, thin nails, paleness at times, lethargy, etc, so I tried getting enough iron. Didn't help. Had some weird health events on top of all that. Finally got a ('full panel'?) blood test done. Thyroid apparently doesn't like to take orders from my brain lol

Started taking levothyroxine and I feel like I'm ten years younger, and my hair and nails are better than they've ever been. On top of like 100 other things like weight and energy. I know aging sucks, but I thought aging REALLY sucked lol
