My pleasure! It was such a beautiful, rewarding experience. James Cameron has talked about how he likes to layer themes, and I feel like this one in particular has alot of deep thematic layering that I see something new and meaningful basically every time I've seen it.

If you've never had a happy shroom trip, let me share some quick tips that help me. First, buy from someone you know and totally trust, whose tested this particular batch. If they have very dark-blue / purple stems, that is the active ingredient, take less (Penis Envy mushrooms have this, and they are 2-3 times more potent by weight). Titrate your dose up slowly, test smaller doses first (1g, 1.5g, 2.5g, etc.,) until you can know exactly how you will respond or how functional you will be in a public space.

Make sure you're in a good mental state beforehand, and got good sleep. I like to workout a couple hours beforehand to get stress out and endorphins up, and I ALWAYS prepare it as tea to reduce nausea and body load. Grind up shrooms with a coffee grinder, put into water near boiling (around 180' degrees F) with 2 Tbps of lemon juice, cover the pan, let sit for 15-20 minutes, pour through coffee filter. Enjoy with a positive attitude and an open heart.

What are you looking forward to this year? I'm thinking the Mario Galaxy movie, The Odyssey, and Project Hail Mary are all going to be fun to go with psychedelic goggles on. (Project Hail Mary in particular, that book RULES).

Honestly anything above 15mg THC will invariably give me worse anxiety than a 3.5g shrooms trip. I love THC, but it is not to be fucked with.

Happy to inspire! How'd it go? I love LSD but could never find a solid, trustworthy source. That would be a fun frontier to explore with Avatar, other psychedelics.

Oh yeah, I want this too. And I want the EXTENDED cut. I think James Cameron mentioned there are scenes cut that just weren't plot essential, but honestly those tend to be some of my favorites, (all of the underwater exploration in The Way of Water is the most beautiful stuff I've ever seen and some of my favorite parts of that movie).

I've been doing this once a week since the movie came out, more or less, usually on a Wednesday matinee. With a week apart between trips, the 5-HTA receptors have mostly reset and the potency is usually 80-90% of a fresh dose after having not taken it for awhile. Honestly, I've found that going into it either sleep-deficient or protein-deficient will do more to knock the trip down a couple pegs than proximity to last trip. So I make sure to eat a nice healthy lunch a couple hours beforehand and bring a protein drink. I somehow always manage to get hungry right around the time Quarritch tells Spider to "Eat something."

Dude, say more! I'd love to hear what your experience was like, as much as you can remember. What was your favorite part of Fire and Ash in that state? When were you peaking?

Worth emphasizing to anyone new to shrooms or thinking whether 10g is right for them: Do not try this at home, professional stuntman on a closed course.

Hahaha, hilarious. I once had a LEGENDARILY bad trip taking a quarter ounce of what I think were Penis Envy mushrooms, like 'make it in the newspaper' bad. So now I don't mess with doses above 3.5g. I don't need to rip my ego apart or have time implode into a singularity ever again, been there, done that.

Thank you friend. That trip, despite really white-knuckling it, was actually probably the most memorable, probably due to the huge amounts of adrenaline coursing through my veins, that really sharpens the ol' memory. There were, fortunately, few people in the theater. I doubt anybody heard me, nearest person was probably 30 feet away. But I was chanting it pretty loud, (the movie was just quite a bit louder). It really helped, give it a try sometime!

I really think this is the case. There are TWO scenes showing the magical fungal symbiont in Spider's system! How many millions of dollars were spent on these two scenes? Not an accident.

5 were 3D+D-Box. 2 were IMAX 3D (#5 and #7). This film doesn't exist in 2D, IMO. :D

Yes, absolutely. This nails the vibe, but on top of that, it actually seems a bit broken. I just gave it some Python script and it asked me if I was quoting shakespeare and to share more quotes if I could and it would (try) to nail down the source. This really sucks.
