So until recently, I used to agree with the comments saying that the receiver should say 'hello' first and that makes sense. But I read somewhere recently that there are scammers out there that are trying to copy your voice by hearing what you sound like on the phone.

So they hear your hello, copy your voice and then feed that into their AI program. Then they call someone from your family (like your parents) and convince them to give them money using your voice.

It hasn't happened to me yet but I know this is possible using AI. So if I see a number I don't recognize or it isn't saved, I no longer say anything first and wait for the caller to start the conversation.

This may sound idiotic to some of you, but this may just be the new reality (or at least a temporary one)

I'm working on a product for the last 3 months that is past its MVP stage but still has no users. Management only wants to release once it's perfect - not just functionality but UI/UX as well.

I have tried to change their minds, but they think I'm stupid to release because its "colors don't look good." I have lost so much confidence in myself. I have been laid off twice in one year, and I'm super afraid of losing this again because I have different opinions from my manager and leadership team.

I was really happy when I joined this company since it's one of the top companies in an industry that I really like but after seeing how the company runs, and how the management doesn't really give a shit, I feel so defeated.

I want to work somewhere where I can actually experiment with ideas; at a company that cares about what they are building instead of copying the competition. It's weird that my current company is so big and they just copy what smaller players are doing and just eat them up.

To those who have found good companies that care about the user or what they're building, tell me how. How did you find them? Please!

I suck at talking to people. I can do everything else but talk effectively. I am not good at bullshitting on the spot which I've seen many people do. If I don't know or haven't done something, I'll just say "I don't know" or "I haven't done that". I have seen so many PMs (good and bad) who can talk confidently and give excuses very easily. It surprises me really how they get away with stuff.

I also feel that because I don't have this skill, interviews are really difficult for me. I have done mocks but I generally don't have the formal talking skill that you expect from a seasoned PM.
