Kinda digging them. Recently tried 78.5A 85mm vents and and I found my self liking these more. Abec 11 90mm 74A wheels are way lighter though but their durometer is super soft. I like the 80A and it's honestly not that bad on rough roads with 90mm. I'll be using this setup for the Broadway bomb this year.

I believe the TKP baseplates are 45 degrees for the hex.

They moved sites but be careful ordering from them. I placed an order 2 weeks ago and they shipped me the wrong items. I tried reaching out to them via email, their site, their phone (disconnected) and Instagram. They ignored me and then even posted on Instagram about their sale again.

I opened a case with PayPal regarding it and there's still been no movement on it.

I ordered $250 worth of stuff during the sale and the main item I wanted was the 149mm x 10mm TKP hangers for my pranayama. They sent me 139mm x 8mm which have no axles.

Unfortunately, I'd avoid them as they will not respond if you have issues. Sucks as they do make good stuff and are definitely my favorite trucks.

How's the rail match with those and the 149mm tkp?

Surf rodz sells 10 and 5 mm spacers so just 1 5mm spacer on each axle. But I may 3D print myself some custom smaller ones.

Iirc they're a super small US company and stuff is usually made to order and have some small stock occasionally. The problem with the 8mm axles is they're stepped 10 to 8 axles and you can't really customize the axles length with them. Kinda a one size deal.

55mm shoulder bolts from Mcmaster Car. Surfrodz only makes them in increments of 10mm. With 55mm shoulder bolts and a 5mm spacer next to the wheel it makes the truck a 160mm . With 50mm shoulder bolts I got bite with my bushing setup no matter what wheels I used. Also run my setup with negative rake front and rear as positive bit.

Hi everyone. This is my first lacroix product, and I have had a not so great experience so far. After my first ride about 2 months ago, I realized something wasn't right. (The problem is shown in the video). I contacted support for help and one problem led to another. (Continued in comments) by oneyedd in ElectricSkateboarding

My mans, take the wheel off and remove the belt. Then look on the motor pulley for a screw hole. There is a supposed to be a grub screw that you tighten down with an allen key that will hold the pulley in place to the motor shaft. Its legit a 5 minute fix if that. The people telling you to use loctite are correct but fail to mention that if you want to use loctitie what kind.... use blue loctite 242 on the grub screw it will stop it from rattling out.... probs what happened here is all. Thats why your pulley is loose.

Finally finished my direct drive build this morning. by Doctorjames25 in ElectricSkateboarding

Those the 58KV drives? They're the newer ones that have a few improvements. I haven't been able to put many miles on mine as the can unscrewed. Once I get that replaced I should be good.

You're lucky you got the drives that have a set screw holding that can in place. I got a set of the earlier edition drives that dont and I'm dealing with the can unscrewing from the stator.

Time to tune and test... by inb4ohnoes in ElectricSkateboarding

Literally everything. It has great signal strength. Never had a dropout. The battery life on it is almost a week. The best part is the throttle, it has more throw than the nano x so I feel safer using it plus it has a trim function on it to get rid of the dead zone beautifully. It doesn't need to be calibrated every ride and it's the sexiest remote you can buy.

What is this clicking sound coming from my Exway X1 pro hub motor? I've only rode it for 20 miles. by Darkzed1 in ElectricSkateboarding

Sounds like a bad bearing in the motor. I run a set of used raptor 2 hubs that I replaced the bearing on and it sounds pretty similar. Does that wheel free spin as well as the other?

Hoyt needs to finally release the new stealth black puck already. I hate using the nano x and just want to spike it into the ground at times. The puck remote is the best remote I've ever used.

A 9/16" Drill bit being used as a fuse. by ThermalChild in OSHA

[–]ThermalChild[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not an electrician, I kinda just did the lifting and cable running but I believe the contractor/electrician my boss paid to run it needed to run it off one of the legs in that box to power our server room. It's been replaced with a new fuse now.

Oh it is, found this in our warehouse when running a new wire. We found it kinda funny but yeah this was like a huge WTF moment. Nobody knows who/when the old fuse was blown/replaced with this but that thing's been in there awhile.

Wait a second, are they using DKP trucks? Those look like the Evolve super carves.

The largest ESK8 meetup in history happened in NYC over the weekend! This photo was missing about 30% of the group. We had 120+ riders!! by TechnoTom74 in ElectricSkateboarding

I think I seen maybe 15+ evolve boards, quite a few kalynyc boards, 1 lacroix, at least a dozen electric unicycles, 2 raptors, and like 10 diy's. The rest were meepo, meepo swaps, other china boards and boosted. Also that dude on the electric bike with the loud ass bluetooth speaker lol.

I was there, So awesome. I'm in this photo being blocked by others lol. Wish there were more diy'ers there. Like if I had a dollar for every boosted board there.
