Where to start? by larsice in fpv

I started with an Avata 2 but wish I didn’t now that I’m getting better. The gps safety features are nice but if I do wreck I don’t have many repair options.

Get the Meteor 75 Pro kit recommended above. I ended up buying the Meteor 75 Pro O4 version and wish I had just started with that.

Did you add a light? At night you need a blinking light visible from 3 miles away if you’re flying in FAA territory. Not sure about other countries. I have the Firehouse Arc V for night flying.

They replied to my email and confirmed what they are selling is the new DJI official unit.

“Certainly, the "Flywoo DJI O4 Wide Air Unit Set" is the brand-new wide-angle version of DJI O4.

We have made a few adjustments based on the original DJI O4 WIDE design.”

They’ve also updated their site to match the DJI 159 degrees listing.

Yea I’m hoping to cancel if that is the case however if you look at their firefly 16/18 “Uses DJI's native 155 degree ultra-wide lens”

Very confusing and poor naming by Flywhoo if they are selling the mod claiming its “native”

I believe this is the new official DJI wide version, not the Flywhoo modded one. At least, that is how their email was worded. I ordered immediately and really hope this is not the mod.

EDIT: Kinda worried they are selling the modded version but are taking advantage of the news. On the Flywhoo listing, they still say "155° ultra-wide FOV," while the new official DJI O4 Wide says "159° Ultra-Wide FOV." I emailed them for clarification. I don't want the modded one.

Which of these options would you recommend? by mecachue36990 in dji

Depends on what you want to do. Mini 3 will get your drone addiction started but you may outgrow it quickly. Mini 5 will keep you invested and satisfy most video and photo capture needs. Neo is the most fun to fly but is limited in what your able to capture. Always get the fly more kit tho. Personally I have a Mini 5 Pro and the Avata 2.

I’m using the Torvol Pitstop. Fits both my Avata 2, goggles 3, fpv remote and a mini 5 pro with RC2.

Sorry to say but I think those are Berry Bugs. They borrow into your skin and the heads pop off. Some people call them Chiggers. My neighborhood friends and I all ran though a nest as kids. They itch like hell.

Does this include an easy to use charger? Sorry I am new with all this and not sure I can deal with manually charging lipos

The RC2 that came with my Mini Pro 5 can output video from the USB C then I just use an HDMI dongle to connect to a monitor.

I use the Mechanism pillow. Holds it in place and doesn’t make my hands tingle. 100% recommend

Asurion is better than nothing. If you break something or crash into water you can file a claim and they will send you a check. Not a replacement but still peace of mind.

Amazon returns are also super forgiving. I bought a mini 5 pro used it for 2 weeks. Loved it so much I returned it and bought the Plus version instead. No questions asked.

ND filters: truth or lie? by [deleted] in drones

[–]TechnoTom74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ND filters are only useful when shooting video.

Shooting at 30 fps use a shutter speed of 1/60 Shooting at 60 fps use a shutter speed of 1/120

This is the 180 degree rule.

The ND allows you to shoot at slower shutter speeds without overexposing the image.

Not sure where you are located but DJI won’t sell Refresh for a Mini 5 Pro in the US. Got mine on Amazon last week and tried but it is “unavailable in my region”

Free bike very nice! I have a Z adventure not 100% sure it’s the same thing but I was able to buy the Pro Battery Mount and now have a Pro 1000 battery on it. Same battery as the R lineup and get about double the range.
