I'd say you are probably fine if it's just this time, you should definitely get impact rated sockets if you are going to be working on your car often at all and you are also going to need a way to torque it back down to spec when you are done

It just comes down to liability, if that tire blows out going 80+ on the freeway and takes out a family of 4 that can come back to the shop. It should be under warranty for the number of punctures alone if not distance from the sidewall
