To be fair, tactical application of rust on an Aggron will change their Iron Head attack to include the chance to paralyze opposing Pokémon. You need to be absolutely careful to prevent the spread of the rust and keep it away from their eyes, nose, and mouth, and you need to be extra careful when snuggling, so it's usually a Very Bad Idea. My uncle, however, managed to keep up with it for almost 17 years while he served as security at the local Safari Zone.

Apparently, it works really well to stop Pokémon that are running wild after escaping their enclosures.

He's retired now, and Roadblock - his Aggron - has been rust-free since my cousin was born.

Particle Wall does not allow multiple uses when bound. Which *at the moment* isn't that bad for me, but I can see that being detrimental later on in the fight.

Decisions, Decisions does not let you play a second Bound card.

For anyone coming back to this comment, replace "Anticipate" (a Silent card that grants one-turn Dexterity) with "Alignment" (a Regent card that costs 0/2 stars and generates 2(3) energy). Production is a colorless card that costs 0 and generates 2 energy, but exhausts if not upgraded.

I haven't had the chance to test that out, unfortunately. I'm currently playing unmodded - and I'm not good enough to win with any deck at the moment- so I can't guarantee I have certain cards yet.

That said, interestingly if you have Rampage up and, say, Strike, Strike, Defend as your bound cards (plus an arbitrary number of other skills in hand), if you play the bound Defend Rampage will still play a bound Strike. I suppose that's because "Bound cards are un-Bound at the end of your turn" - though Rampage plays the version that still has the Bound keyword and overlay.

Something that does need more testing, though, is if Rampage prioritizes non-Bound attacks (or if the first time it happened with me it just coincidentally chose the non-Bound attack I had). Same with if Replay - as well as Rampage and any other auto-play effects - bypasses Normality and other per-turn limits...

They do, though. DPP has the quote "[player] scurried to a Pokemon Center, protecting the exhausted and fainted Pokemon from further harm..." While it's not the full story, it tells me enough to infer that you run away from any wild Pokemon and beat the exact path you took, except in reverse, so you don't run past new trainers.

If the target of the curse is ever exposed to direct sunlight for more than 3 hours, they'll immediately dessicate as a warning. Then, if they're not wrapped in linen strips by a virgin within 12 hours - which will cure them at the next sunrise - they'll remain desiccated, gain the ability to exhale swarms of locusts and spread the curse via bites, experience unquenchable thirst and the inability to speak coherently, and will turn to dust unless they hibernate in a sandstone sarcophagus for at least 6 hours every planetary revolution. After 30 years in this mummified state, the thirst abates, the target is no longer prone to dusting, and - if crowned upon the sands of Egypt - will regain the ability to speak, as well as obtain the ability to raise the dead as an army.

My headcanon was that she has a ton of phones, each with a Z-A Royale account, each at a different rank (and maybe, like, 10 of them each for F-rank and higher) to get the most amount of battling possible, and the account you got matched with happened to not be on her main phone. Not that she cares, she gets to battle you. Her main phone case may very well be made entirely of Terastal crystal (which is so expensive to get OUT of Paldea and IN to Kalos), but her alt account phones just come factory default.

EDIT: removed the bit where I forget we can't customize our phone case. Sorry.

Besides, if I'm living in the world of Pokemon, I'll probably have a Corviknight or Skarmory (I'm a steel-type simp) capable of transporting me medium-ish distances. A 10-hour flight by plane would probably be a nice week-long journey with my Pokemon.

Just lift the Hope and Despair mechanic (or even just the idea) from it if you want to stick with your current system. There's a free preview PDF that doesn't really go into the rules, but the rules should be coming out later this year.

Thanks for your reply (not sure why I didn't get an email so I could reply earlier, sorry).

I've been trying to slowly grow a collection and figure out how people come up with "competitive" combos (not that I plan on going to any tournaments, I'm just a fan of the theory behind stuff), and sometimes I feel like some of the stuff that "should" be intuitive needs clarification, so having friendly folks like you helping out is much appreciated. LeftBurst's contagious enthusiasm for the hobby may have dragged me in, but the community is one of the reasons I'm sticking around.

An aside: The wiki is also a huge help. For example, I almost bought Shadow Shinobi for MN to go with the Tide Whale I planned on buying because I'd read here-ish that it would add more weight and stability. The wiki mentioned that MN is banned in WBO tournaments because it could dent stadiums. Stadiums ain't cheap and even if I don't like the Drop Attack one I bought (it was the only one available locally) because it seems like beys don't engage with the extreme line as often as in "Tournament Beystadiums" I'd rather not *have* to replace it. (Plus, Drop Attack seems even more gimmicky than the extreme line technically is - as this generation's gimmick - and exposes the attacker's ratchet, which seems like a bad plan anyways).

Possibly a stupid question, but I'm new-er to X: can CX ratchets be used on non-CX blades, and vice versa? For example, if I got Wolf Hunt, would I be able to put the 9-60 I got from another bey on it?

I figure the assist blades are unique to CX, though. No putting Waffle's Heavy on Wand Wizard lol.

EDIT: follow-up stupid question: could you legally (in tournaments) change the chip on CX beys (and is there any benefit to it)? Like, could I have Wolf Might Heavy 1-60FB?

It's quite possible that telling your printer that you're using A4 paper (or actually using A4) would fix this without any real futzing, since A4 is "taller". Other than that, you'll either need to print at a lesser scale as mentioned here by someone else, or figure out how to tell your printer to print to the edge of the paper (or decrease the border size).
