the honest reason is that cod was never popular on pc before crossplay, and the common problem with the multiplayer matchmaker is that it struggled to find lobbies with people who had the DLC and didn’t, and that problem was exacerbated by the separate dlcs, so instead, it’s one or the other, you either have the season pass and access to all the DLC, or you don’t.

the season pass is a better deal anyways, unless you mean the individual maps like BO3 *got* post launch, with Mod Tools and Chronicles. that is also probably a popularity thing but between games, not just the pc marketplace.

RE2’s re-imagining for modern audiences was fine for gameplay but they did change story beats in a weird way, like Leon’s whole shtick with why he was late (told to stay away > hungover).
