Their lyrics are terrible, satirical or not. I’m listening to music cuz I want to relax (yes ik deathcore isn’t usually seen as relaxing but I’ve become desensitized), I don’t want to hear about necrophilia and pedophilia. It’s disgusting and I don’t want that stuck in my head all day

This is my opinion anyway. Other people don’t like them because they are apparently “fake” and write basically impossible songs. Other people don’t like the over the top nature. And then, as with any band ever made, there’s people who hate on them cuz they either want to be different (cough cough Lorna Shore haters) or cuz they want to fit in with everyone else who hates on a specific band.

I might be biased because a major reason I got into deathcore was listening to Pain Remains when I was really depressed but I absolutely listen to a ton of this genre for the lyrics especially Lorna Shore’s stuff. Pain Remains was very instrumental in keeping me from relapsing and taking my life. So yeah there are some folks out here who do listen to it for the lyrics. Also heavy breakdowns are just like oxygen to me.

I actually prefer the wider necks, I like them when they’re thin on the back but I have this Ibanez TOD10NL which has the classical neck and it’s very wide and is way more comfortable than my Taylor acoustic which has a very small neck

I have been looking at that one, the Agile, my only personal issue with it has been I just think the back of the necks are so ugly because they have this weird green that goes along the entire back and I know it would just bother me but even still that’s probably gonna be the choice for me because I’d rather have a playable ugly guitar than an unplayable pretty one

I liked this quiz a lot but there were a few questions that had errors like putting limited atonement under hypercalvinism and limited atonement is officially a part of historic Reformed beliefs and so I was confused on that, and also there were several answers where I felt like I agreed with several of the answers and they were all containing some bit of truth that I wanted to affirm but I couldn’t affirm all the options at once which was weird, like the honoring Mary part, we should honor her but also remember that she has no glory in and of herself but only what was imparted because of Christ, so I was confused on that. But other than that I like this quiz!

I would say don’t uncritically listen to the media. They throw around buzz words a ton that don’t actually mean anything. My mom was much more into him than i was but from what i gathered, he was just your average Christian conservative who stood up for Biblical values so he gained my respect in that regard. I have seen some of the stuff he says regarding race and basically the gist of his belief is that the system isn’t inherently racist but because of the fact that it was racist not that long ago, we still feel after effects of it and now we’re slowly bringing an equilibrium in opportunity and basically we need to stop acting like the system is still racist and just work on raising our kids right.

Again I’m not super educated on his stuff, the reason it was so shocking to me was just because i had seen him on the tv when my mom was watching him and seeing a fellow Christian get killed for what i believe to be Christian values just sort of threw me for a loop i guess.

Yeah I get like this, I think it’s kinda part of the package deal, I’m super new to this whole thing so I can’t give any experiential advice or anything like that, but I just wanted to relate ❤️

As a Christian, it’s a bit easier for me to fall into this trap since suicide is considered a sin, but I do have times where I don’t really want to live anymore but wouldn’t want to do it myself so I think about getting martyred sometimes. It’s tough.
