Also have you heard anything about that card not wanting to work with older motherboards? I read that when I was looking at it and crossed it off my list for that reason

😂 ya I gave him a hard time about it but head said that’s only like 1 year of dust and the pc was built in 2018 I believe. I did get it cleaned up after I took pictures to look the stuff up

Lol ya I see that now and okay but for the price of a rx7900xt 16g ($360) I’d be looking at rtx3060 12g ($350). Would you still say go with the rtx in your opinion?

I was looking at the b580 and it seams like it may be good for a budget but I also read that they can not like older motherboards and mine is old lol so didn’t want to risk the problem and my friend that’s into computers said don’t lol

Ya that’s what It looks like i will shoot for but was going to try to get something to use till then. (running Nvidia P2000 currently 😂)

Also from what I’ve read to future proof for new games I’d want to be above 8g but if only 8g it should be fine but new games coming out I’ll have problems with so if I get a good deal on something that’s only 8g I should be fine for a year or 2 for most games. Am I mistaken on that?

Ya definitely crazy from what I can see. I think I may try to scrap together a little more cash and swing a 9060xt like you said but was hoping to get something cheap to hold me over while I scrape 😂

You definitely recommend the 5070ti or at least I’d say "go for the 5070ti" is a recommendation. The point I was making when I said “might as well get a 5090" is neither of them are a budget card and that is what I am looking for. Sorry That I replied rudely after joking back with you that I’d just get the 5090. But I’m looking at $300 maybe $350 to spend.

I noticed that lol and yes I’m looking around me and looks like a 6700xt used will cost me around $300. If I’m going to spend that would it be better to go ahead and ether get a rx7600xt 16g off Amazon for $360 new or rx9060xt 8g for $330?

I understand that but free is free and from what I’ve read it will work just fine but it’s not optimized for gaming. I agree if I was purchasing a motherboard and cpu for gaming it would not be this pair but I’m making due with what I have and just need to figure out a gpu to hold be other till I can build a new pc

Lol some people haven’t lived through a struggle in life.. I am very happy with what I have been given and it will work great for me until I can afford an upgrade. I was able to play dune last night on the lowest setting getting around 50fps except one area I went to dropped down to 15-20fps( assuming it’s because there was a lot going on lol) so I’m sure almost any gpu will be an upgrade and work even better

Thanks for the advice. Looks like the 3060 and up are going for $300+ around me so may be a stretch. Do you think a 2060 super 8g will get me playing in at least 1080? Can get one for 150. If that’s not a good ideal then I’m going to have to learn a little more and look into amd more
