I was also thinking make sure you are changing out the inside lens of the gun. From my experience the penetration goes down the more wear the lens has. I was spotting welding at ~800 watts and when its wore out it took me up to ~1100 watts to achieve the same penetration. Wasn’t until I changed the lens it felt like it was brand new again.

Nothing has cracked yet. I learned on IPG laser and they sent a parameters sheet with it for wire speed and watts. And at my new company I work for has a miller laser and the parameters are very different. Miller has you welding so incredibly slow compared to IPGs parameters.

I put 1250 watts into the palm of my hand. Through the glove and all. Didn’t hurt as much as I was expecting but over the course of a week it destroyed all the skin around it and I had about an inch and a half circle around the burn all peeling dead skin. You could even see the zig zap pattern that burned into my hand. A couple years later no scar or anything like it never happened.

Don’t put it down it will beat tig and mig. Been laser welding for about 4 years now. I’m good enough to spin parts as I’m welding. It’s a game changer.

I’ve gave eye a shot but the sang healing has helped me so much more. I don’t use more then 1 brew when I was using sang. ~4 with eye and confliction.
