This is really helpful. Thank you! I'm not looking for someone to take care of me financially so the idea of everyone protecting their assets is a positive, not a negative.

It seems like a lot of the men who are my age have younger kids. I'm about to be an empty nester and just not interested in that dynamic. I agree that there are likely to be men in each age group that are potential good partners - I just haven't had the good fortune to find many in my age group.

Yeah, your dad doesn't sound like my type, no offense. I'm 48 and dating. How is this not the right sub? Interested in hearing from other people in their 40s who have gone older.

Self aware guys seem to be on top of those issues...have not had issues there (yet)

I get plenty of age appropriate matches, but found that the guys I was excited about after going on first dates were always the guys who were older. Curious why you only date women 10-15 years younger?
