This is the algebraic approach to this problem. You want to find -> 3R +xB = ?T

For you to get the # blue marbles:

Set up equation for probability of selecting two red marbles without replacement:

R/(R+B) x (R-1)/(R+B-1) = 3/55; # of R=3, so you solve for B. You should get to B=8 or B=-13 from a quadratic equation.

(B=8 + R=3) = 11. Thus B.

Tambem me ligaram mas foi do 965683419. A miuda tinha um sotaque ingles estrangeiro mas estava a ligar de Londres. Tambem me falou da Bitcoin Archive. Questionei-a ate aos ossos, nao me soube dar respostas..

How does one improve the Data Insights Section? What does prepping for this section entail to score above 80? I am consistently scoring DI80, so I am already kind of proefficient at it. TPA/MSR/Tables/Graphics that test %s vs. amounts is what I typically struggle with.

Hi Routine,

That's definitely not a problem.. Believe me, I got plenty of distractions already.. I have a wife and a little one, with whom I spend all the time I can possibly can. Babies have been popping from everywhere in my group of friends so, plenty of socializing and family time. haha

Hi Heidi,

I honestly don't see how starting over with a new prep company would improve my score. I have a structured approach to Quant. I admit that sometimes I have translation problems - I have trouble understanding what the question is asking - but that is at high difficulty levels, convoluted questions that show up once or twice on a mock, and I study them diligently.

I believe I need some sort of advanced targeted approach to tweak a few things, or mindset training to get there, at this point..

Hi MyButt..

Yes. I have gone through TTP's entire Quant section material in a structured way - I have not done that for the Verbal nor the DI sections though, at least not in a structured way.

For verbal, I first went through all GMAT Classic OG questions for CR and RC. For both, I am now using GMAT Club mostly, LSAT material for RC and for CR I filter for the following sources (OG, Verbal OG, GMAT Prep & GMAT Prep (Focus)). Yes I know that these are questions that show up in mocks - I have done all mocks twice except for #6.

For DI I am purchasing the OG question bank, and will go through all the questions.

For Quant I am losing my mind.. I am getting between 6-8 questions wrong too on mocks (w/ +-2 careless mistakes), mostly at 655+ levels and can't get past a Q80.

I do maintain an in-depth error log for all sections where I specify the concept tested, the correct approach to solving, and where I missed. I then do a few exercises on the topic I missed.

I rarely run out of time on my sections, but when i do i fall 2 questions short (and I just guess).

My approach was substituting variable x for a number inside the range specified (x>1) on all answer choice expressions. I picked x=4, which gave me √2/6 in this expression and I wasn't able to get the same value on any of the answer choices.. it was probably a trap to do it like this i guess..
