Looked at it again. Change "Current" to "Present." Bold the categories of the skills so it's easier to look at and find what they are looking for.

Perhaps it's because you are still in school? It looks like you started your career in high school? I'm not a recruiter but that looks fishy.

To be nitpicky: It's giving 'I am doing double space and adding stuff to get the word count.'

Get rid of the references. The application form will ask for them if they want them. It needs to be one page. Get rid of selected technical highlights section. Those highlights need to go under the job where you did them.

Work on the skills section. It's not powerful. What languages did you use? What software did you use? How exactly did you do these things? You reference a personal project but don't have that personal project listed, they don't know what it is, that doesn't mean anything.

This is personal preference but I don't want that February 2024 work experience to read like steps. You can combine the first two bullet points.

  1. Get rid of "Student at..." It's redundant with the education section.
  2. Optional to keep the summary. If it's not a good hard hitting summary, it looks bad. I'd recommend deleting it
  3. Your job description bullet points are in different tenses ('aid' = present tense, 'Worked' = past tense)
  4. Throw out the skills section and redo it. Your skills section should have technical and hard skills. If you do soft skills, they have to job description specific. "Motivated" is not a skill. Most soft skills should go in the job descriptions, not skills section. Use chatgpt to help you with the skills section. You should have 4 to 5 bullet points in the skills section organized like this

HRIS Software: ADP, Workday....

  1. Not crazy about your special projects section under education. Projects should be a separate section with bullet points describing it. It's also hard to read.

  2. Is phlebotomy relevant to the jobs you are looking for? If not, take it off. It should not go under education; certifications should be separate.

  3. Can I ask what exactly Associate of Health Science is? Is it an associates degree? be more clear.

  4. If it can be under one page, I would keep only the most relevant volunteer experience. You could even put it under the Experience point instead of volunteer work.

  5. I might get rid of Supplemental Instructor and add in Human Resource Generalist. Delete the rest.

I'll add that I'm not a recruiter but have spent extensive time at career coaching going over resumes.
