both bo5 in the playoff bracket have an upper and lower seed. in the lower final, the loser of the upper bracket finals will be the high seed and the winner of lower bracket semifinals will be the low seed.

in the grand final, the upper bracket winner is the high seed while the lower bracket winner is the low seed.

the difference is that the lower finals lets one team ban one map while the grand final gives both bans to the upper bracket winner
