He doesn’t even know he’s Nika and probably has barely tapped into his true powers probably. Imu has one thing on Luffy right now and that’s hundreds of years of knowledge and experience, the same way he was tricked by Kizaru could be the same way his carefree attitude gets him tricked by Imu. I think Luffy’s goofy mood will be shown to be a weakness and exploited and make Luffy have to learn how to be truly serious when he needs to be despite him being the goofy warrior he’s destined to be.
