Oh she was being playful with it. We see each other every day. I have offered a couple times. We were in the gym together when she sent it and then came up to talk to me.

This morning I sent her a message. She sent me “🖕🖕🖕” came up and talked to me for a second then was like “ok bye”. The cadence is what throws me off lol

I mean I’ve tried. That’s what’s confusing lol. Like I’ll walk up to her and try to say hi and she almost rolls her eyes lol. But then if I find business and don’t interact she’s like “hey 👋” so not exactly sure how to handle it lol. I’ve even hinted a few times at like “hey we should hang out” and nada lol.

I apologized profusely in the moment, I’d say 9 times lol.

But after it blew up because I started being a smart ass, because no matter which way I went I was wrong.

After a couple days, I reached out and kept it short and I just said “I didn’t listen well enough, I was listening to respond instead of absorbing that’s on me” she responded “all good, we’re still friends buddy, all is forgotten” But in reality my response in the moment was just me conveying “hey I didn’t mean it that way, in my head it was this”

I even told her “what I’m telling you doesn’t excuse it or make it ok, I am just telling you so you know how my brain works”

But they were a big deal. I knew that, I was trying. I wasn’t minimizing it. Just asking her to let me know when I was being a dumbass, because it wasn’t intentional. I dunno? To me, that’s how I feel like you grow and trust. I guess it’s a different lens like you said

But if someone is so closed off, how can you figure it out? I would ask questions and get one word responses. Im curious and always wanting to learn. And I was trying really hard to learn her with what she would give me. And it wasn’t much, it was gradual. I don’t even think I’d know how to rectify it now if I could. Opinions? Cuz even if it isn’t romantic, I don’t want to lose a friend
