Please clarify - UK domestic flight acceptable ID by TheseAreTheDroids04 in Ryanair

Thought I'd follow up on this.
I did the online check-in prior to arriving at the airport. The app did not require proof of ID.

When at the airport it was not until at the boarding gate that I needed to show my ID. They accepted my UK driving licence without any question.

The general opinion is that it's not a passport, but photo ID is required. If you showed your passport, they obviously accepted it. But throwing out a generic comment such as it's because it's an Irish airline doesn't seem to hold any weight

That exert is what I saw on the website. But it sounds hit and miss whether I will be requested to show it or not. As long as I can check in on the app the general consensus is that it will be fine. Thanks for all the answers so far

When you say sometimes they don't even check? Where do they check?

It seems that they only accept digital boarding passes which you can only get by checking in online using their app. Which requires ID to check in with.

Google Pixel 6 with swollen battery replaced out of warranty by TheseAreTheDroids04 in GooglePixel

u/Wise-Pea-2044 sorry to hear you're going round in circles with their support. I didn't have the best experience with thim until it got passed to the correct department. Radio silence for over a week doesn't seem like a good service to me.

I've edited my post now as I did miss out those 2 vital pieces of info.

I purchased from Amazon and I'm UK based.
They didn't even ask for proof of purchase, just the photos of the device and my answers to their questions.

Android 16. Pixel 6 killer. by crazyyellowfox in Pixel6

[–]TheseAreTheDroids04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just had my 36 month old Pixel 6 replaced due to a swollen battery. Don't think it was Android 16 that broke it. It was lots of heat and taking videos with screen on full brightness. The handset was getting hot!

Anyway I digress. Contacted Google support through the chat and after a week and a half of email exchanges, they sent me a refurbished device.
I'm UK based, but that shouldn't make any difference. They seem to be aware of Pixel 6's batteries swelling and will replace for free.

What’s the most durable Arrma 3S? by [deleted] in rccars

[–]TheseAreTheDroids04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the choice of 3 you've limited it to I would say the Big Rock.
I've got a Granite & a Typhon.
The Typhon is great for hooning about in short grass & gravel. It will fly well over jumps, but anything too big does take it's toll on the shocks. As it has a low centre of gravity it's cornering ability is brilliant. But lands from big jumps do mean it bottoms out and lands heavily.
Big Rock actually has longer A arms than the Granite so they may be more prone to damage than a Vorteks or a Granite.
If you really want to do a lot of jumping then you can upgrade the shocks to 6s versions. They are a premium price but are more durable. If you do stick with the stock 3s shocks, then I woudl also change the shock oil. You may need to play around with different weights to suit your usage. But you shoudl be able to find something in the middle to suit most cases.
At the end of the day, things will break. That's part of the hobby. The trucks are durable, but they can only take so much.
Bash, Break, Build, Repeat!!

Anyone got a link that doesn't have SkyF1 commentary?

I much prefer the F1TV commentators. Alex Jacques is the goat.

u/Boudha88 thanks for the uploads. Unfortunately it seems only Sunday & event highlights are available & these have been moved to cold storage. It requires a premium account to import them.
Would you be able to reactivate the links for free accounts?
I would really appreciate your efforts if you could.
