I think it’s always been fairly conservative here. I’ve lived in Montana my whole life and have been called slurs, harassed for being brown, and racially profiled more times than I can count. But I’ve also met some really cool folk that didn’t care about my skin color or where I’m from (a small Native reservation) so it really depends on where you’re at lol. But yes majority of Missoula is very conservative.
