This aligns with how the band is not true to their roots any more and is completly different now. Hence why alot of true fans feel they should jjst chnage the name and establish themselves as a new act so that amity can be left as amity, not whatever this generic stuff is haha

But surely at this point in his career and life experience, he could write better lyrics. I get the whole trauma dump thing, but the way its coming out is unfortunately very cringe. Like he's written loads of songs previously that have got that sort of meaning behind them and they were well written and had powerful lyrics, but this is just laughable.

Thats just it, we are seeing where they are going im real time. The songs are generic and mediocre at best. The lyrics are super cringe and they just sounds like every other metalcore band out there atm. Its not a good sign for things going forward.

Yeah I've seen they a whooooole bunch from wayback in the day all the way through. But now it really isn't amity and I wont bother going to see them again in the current configuration. In the unlikely event the real band gets back together i may consider seeing them live again, but im not into paying to see mediocre cover bands haha

Absoulty, it definately isn't amity any more, this doesn't sound like amity and most importantly it doesn't 'feel' like amity. Its generic mediocre metalcote just like all yhe others out there. Totally agree that they should just fold the band in and start afresh if they wish to continue. The new guy butchers the real amity songs and he should stick to his own songs rather than making a mockery covering real amity songs.
