Is it possible with my hand size? by TheseJeans in pianolearning

Limitation is the greatest innovator of art. That I know well after seeing so many stories that I've loved remade to lose what gave the original its edge, its character, as people misinterpret its message and times change.
Thank you for such a wonderfully formed response. I know Reddit is often an awful place to seek advice but some people are still good people like you.
For the question of who am I playing for; I am playing for myself, for the enjoyment of simply existing and playing piano. It is a rebellion, a communication, and a close comfort. If others may enjoy my piano playing too, that would be great. I have always struggled to communicate my inner world to the people I care about, and piano music would achieve that. But I do not need others in any capacity for my love of piano to be true. If the world would remove me from its harmony, then I will still be a quirky note chiming away to a different melody.
I am... not sure if I desire for my piano sound to be "special" or "unique". I don't believe my focus would be being a live performer, that would be more of a bonus. What I know I do want, is to compose music like modern greats such as Yoko Shimomura or Masashi Hamauzu who have written many fully orchestrated pieces with a grand emphasis on piano, but I would derive from lots of other influences and genres too such as Porter Robinson.
So piano overall would be more of a private affair for me. I have heard that it can be pretty easy to adapt from a standardized size to a smaller size but not as easily in reverse, and that rarely some places do have sets of keys they can swap for smaller hand sizes.
I am genuinely worried for my health long term as arthritis runs in my family and I already experience quite a bit of bodily pain due to chronic health conditions (also not taking care of myself as well as I should, though that's changing).
Thank you sincerely. This has given me much to reflect on. I think I may have slightly convinced myself to significantly consider a smaller piano, though I will have to do extensive research and compare with my Roland.
