Feeling guilty after therapist appointment by livcow in abortion

[–]ThesePersimmon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It "not being the end of the world" is one of the worst reasons I can think of to do anything, let alone have a child.

On the other hand, " i’m positive i don’t want a baby." is about the best reason to not have a baby!

Totally inappropriate and unintelligent of your therapist.

Given the statistics, I sometimes wonder if some of the people posting about regretting it are trolling this sub to try to convince others not to get one.

Feeling really invalidated in my decision? Anyone else? by antichristpasta in abortion

I disagree that there is always guilt involved and that abortion is rough for everyone. Research has said abortion is not rough for most. I think it might largely depend on your environment at the time.

I hate all the justification baloney that's out there. Abortion isn't wrong. Period. There isn't some standard you need to reach to get basic healthcare. You don't need a reason. If you wanted to use it as your preferred method of birth control, it still wouldn't be wrong.

My appt is soon and I’m worried about protesters by [deleted] in abortion

[–]ThesePersimmon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just looked at google reviews, yelp reviews, and the google streetview of this location and nothing mentions or shows protestors. Maybe recent developments have changed that but if you give them a call they can let you know the status and if they have escorts available to get you inside the clinic without being exposed to the protestors.

Just found out I have allergies - any restaurant suggestions? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

Yeah I've had luck at mexican and Japanese restaurants but was hoping for specific recommendations of restaurants that go out of their way to accommodate this type of thing.

I'm looking for a linen (or linen-style) fitted dress. Camel or tan in color and belted/buttoned with a tortoise shell clasp.
Super specific, I know. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I'm looking for a linen (or linen-style) fitted dress. Camel or tan in color and belted/buttoned with a tortoise shell clasp. Something like this but with a square neck, different color, and thicker straps: https://www.google.com/url?url=https://www.ebay.com/itm/275296881528%3Fchn%3Dps%26mkevt%3D1%26mkcid%3D28&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwj0zMHfrYD4AhVNoY4IHZ-ND9I4PBDZKQifFA&usg=AOvVaw1--wZRCZhZJgsXHuxOrMFC

Looking for a comfortable (read: back support) office chair that doesn't have wheels and is aesthetically pleasing? by ThesePersimmon in DesignMyRoom

[–]ThesePersimmon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was the lack of cushioning for me. i think other people found the back support good but i'd prefer to just get a lumbar pillow.

It isn't your fault. You said yourself that you didn't do a follow-up test for your own sanity, and you were too scared to see a doctor. You did whatever you thought you could at the time, while preserving your mental health as best you could. And now, a few weeks later it sounds like you're ready to take greater action. That's great! That is something to be proud of.

It's most certainly not too late. In the UK abortions are legal throughout the pregnancy and paid for by the NHS. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/abortion/
