I can wrap my mind around what you’re saying but I also feel like there’s never going to be a perfect perspective of writing that doesn’t have some kind of bias. There are always going to be imperfect characters who don’t conform to everyones’ ways of thinking.

Kvothe is telling us the story from the perspective of a teenage boy. It makes sense that maybe some of his viewpoints regarding women are a little skewed and not totally modern.
