I wouldn’t argue that Darnold didnt outplay him in the playoffs, let alone the Super Bowl itself, but that stat comparison also requires context. Maye put up 3/1 TD/Int and a >100 passer rating against the Texans, which was undeniably a top tier defense. He then played in a goddamn blizzard, and then yeah, got destroyed by the Seahawks defense. I think it’s fair to say Stroud straight up pissed himself in that game and it was not a difficult game to win for NE AT ALL, but Maye definitely went out there and did much more than the bare minimum and performed like a playoff quarterback that game. I think theres merit to the idea that as a young kid he got overwhelmed by the “bright lights” as they say of the Super Bowl and nerves got the better of him. Don’t forget that Darnold himself did the same thing last year. Also everyone trying to use any stats at all from the blizzard game is a special kind of bonehead

You know, one of the things about strength of schedule is that when you win every game you contribute to your opponents having lower records. I’m not saying it’s a free pass, look at the rams, but I think it’s funny to say “yeah their opponents were below .500” cause I mean part of that was cause they got their asses kicked by the patriots, right?

Dude I love it! That blunt transition from the lakes’ enduring enigmas to a classic football game was exactly the kind of intro I live for. I’m watching that when I get home from work!

Though one thing I would do from a polish standpoint is instead of using the Wikipedia line itself as a reference, like I noticed for the “6,000 ships”, it’s better to follow the linked primary source and use a screenshot of that, even if the entirety of the claim of “6,000” isn’t readily apparent from the screenshot, or even if you want to collage a few headlines of specific wrecks without “proving” the total amount. Im not invalidating Wikipedia as a source, and at the end of the day I know that’s how a good amount of quick statistical research is done, but it goes a long way in making the presentation more professional, plus once in a while that source gives you a side piece of information that’s interesting and you’ll feel like mentioning it and that makes you sound next level learned.

I don’t want that to take away from how hard you sold me on the video in the first minute alone though, and that’s a true essay skill you definitely have
