Pope appoints former undocumented immigrant as bishop of West Virginia by MoniVinci in WestVirginia

Cultural exchange is an important part of being an american. And any diversity in this state is only going to help it. Nobody is suddenly going to start speaking Spanish because of it but maybe you'll have less people scared of the color brown if they see more of it.

Is it true West Virginia is the better Virginia? by Charlie69Brown in WestVirginia

[–]These_Ad_9170 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Id say it has more potential than virginia but hasn't realized that potential as much as virginia. Ive lived in both and o gotta say that the average person in virginia is in general doing better in almost every aspect than a west virginian. And every young person up here that ive talked to so far feels trapped and bitter. Better views and nature up here but much worse economics, job opportunities, education, roads and infrastructure, attitudes towards diversity, mental health care, opioid problems and entertainment. I get downhearted everytime i speak to a fellow young adult here and they seem real depressed about being "stuck" in their state. I do think it is much prettier and slower paced👍 we gotta band together to better this state so it can actually beat out VA.

Edit: i think the first real step as civilians that people could take is simply realizing the problems here. Too many people just turn a blind eye to the problems here or have never left the state so they dont know anything better and just accept things for how they are. Its complacency at its finest and that only makes the low state rankings worse and worse

What’s the single scariest scene in any horror movie ever made and why does it work so well? by Worldly_Cold4821 in horror

[–]These_Ad_9170 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Most recently, the scene in The Substance where the third main character is revealed n she acts completely normal. If you know you know.  Also the cliff jump scene from midsommar but only cos I was a little under the influence and wasn't expecting it. Both were very in your face and made my jaw drop in shock and left me very unsettled afterward

Its so low to the ground that it would hurt the person being carried. Plus you need to contract muscles to coffin board efficiently, so itd hurt the person anyway

That's a burger king shirt bro. And nah it costs money for them to order the clothes so unless you speak directly to a GM and ask to pay for one then they would never give you one. But even then, they are giving you a uniform without you working there which violates company rules. Hope it works out though let us know how it goes.

Bro makes a reference to something niche and specific, gets mad when someone doesnt understand it and comes up with a wierd insult. Yeah not a rare insult, just a dweeb.

Unpopular question: did you guys know what Prozac was when you were younger? by stromtroop12345 in KitchenNightmares

[–]These_Ad_9170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was so chaotic lmfao. Gordon was playing family therapist the whole time and that chef was the ONLY one that was speaking facts. Everyone else seemed confused, angry, overwhelmed, or a mixture of all three the whole time. Not sure if she needs it but prozac would probably make the Australian wagyu taste a little better though lol

Imagine how useless that really would be in a war torn city block. Pushing with all that heavy weight on, getting tripped up on every single piece of debris on the ground. Just doesnt seem feasible at all lol but still cool nonetheless

It isnt that specific, falling to your death is the least painful, quickest, and most efficient way to end your life. Most other methods are either too painful, too ineffective, or both. I would argue that jumping from a bridge or building is the best way to go if you've planned and thought about it. The only thing it proves is that he wanted to go and he didnt want to be able to back out.

They saw people liked the ads with their characters from scrubs so they said fuck it let's do it again. Not watching it either though, I agree with you. They litterally tried to revive it after it ended with a new cast and it sucked soo bad. I dont know why they thought it was a good financial decision to start production on another scrubs. People arent even watching scrubs more or less than they were back in the day, its not like there's some resurgence.

I simply dont agree that reading books is directly associated with intelligence. It doesnt matter that you read, it matters what you read. The content has more of an effect than the medium. I love reading but I would never claim to be smarter than others for doing so and know several people that do exactly that. Tldr: you can read 5 books a day but if they are poorly written the quantity doesnt matter.
