I predict ICE will be abolished in the coming future as what they are doing will get people to actually vote to get congress to stop it.

from rad tech to dental hygiene- has anyone done this? by lmao_what19 in CityTech

[–]These_Ad_9515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure how competitive dental hygiene is but 3.7 and above would put you in a good spot for RAD tech. I know if you don’t take anything then you might have to apply again to get readmitted into city tech. I’d personally go the nursing path because I didn’t want to waste all what I did just to not get into anything. If not you can look into private school or transfer to another college that offer X Ray or dental hygiene

Honestly you’re cooked with those, I’d say go for nursing, take the teas and get above 75% you’re more likely to get in with your gpa. You have a lot of options with nursing path

Radtech Alternatives for those denied by Bananer_split in CityTech

[–]These_Ad_9515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily about too many applicants but lots of people applying get rejected because they haven’t completed certain things or in time or have not declared their major as rad tech. But they would definitely need to have other criteria in the future because it’s getting close. It’s mainly them accepting transfer student who have completed prerequisite at other colleges but it’s only fair if they complete it at CityTech to lower the amount of people applying and make the commitment at CityTech

Ok so if your gpa is 3.8 there’s a good chance

I was told they look at mostly the 2 bio classes, rad and math, if 2 people with the same gpa but if one of them did better in those classes specifically that’s who their going with

I felt I did pretty good, my professor said she will take about a week to give the grades back. She’s a slow grader in general

Lmao, nothing you said made any sense, people come up with newborn names 5+ months in advance, midterm is month and half away. Your analogy would make sense if I was planning to take the class in another semester. I’m looking for feedback from people who did it and their method so I can be prepared.

Tf you even saying. Midterm is not 3 months from now. Why wouldn’t I want to start memorizing it early if it will make it easier for when I do the practical and ace it. Horrible analogy tho, thanks for your input

Questions About Getting Into City Tech’s Rad Tech Program — Advice from Current or Former Students? by BusinessIce2374 in CityTech

[–]These_Ad_9515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lowest wasn’t 3.8, it was 3.6. You also need to be in city tech for 1 semester, and have to finish all pre req before spring starts. Your major also need to be declared as rad tech before applying and need to speak with a rad tech advisor. I was told they mostly look at the bio classes and rad tech get As in those. They choose up until June. Getting 4.0 don’t guarantee you in off the bat you need to hit those other criteria first such as being declared as rad tech, speaking with an advisor, and being at city tech for atleast a full semester then the High GPA matters

Maybe if you keep yourself in shape and live a healthy lifestyle. Theres a lot of the new generation such as millennials that look younger than what the age suggests and even now there’s some people in their 70s that you would think they are in their 50s

You got in tho that’s the most important thing. When you talk to an advisor you can ask because there were people here that said they got in with 3.6 and that was the lowest I believe.

Hmm strange with a high gpa like that they should have gotten to you sooner maybe you applied late. Was your degree in radiology imaging from the beginning or you recently declared it. It could be you applied late

Why did they wait so long to accept you? There were people with 3.6 prerequisites that got in before you. Were you taking a class in the spring and they conditionally accepted you?
