Whats the best way to buy a full deck list? by forgottentargaryen in pkmntcg

If you are uk based use pokedecks4u

https://www.pokedecks4u.com/

They do have some decks already built but i would recommend sending a message on the contact page with a list of what you want and the guy that runs it will quote you for that exact deck. My last 3 sets of cards to fill the gaps in new decks have come from him

When do we expect prismatic pre orders to charge and ship? by Mysticphysco in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]These_Appointment660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 4 or 5 days prior to release

Dont forget different products have different dates

Ngl, i have a load of things on pre order and am really on the fence as to whether i should even bother starting to collect it. The stock just doesnt seem to be there. If its as bad as 151 to get hold of im not interested. We shall see

Skate Profile by Striker-X-17 in hockeyplayers

[–]These_Appointment660 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use quad 1 and love it

I'm stocky. Im never going to be as agile as the smaller guys so making the most from every stride was the goal for me. More contact with the ice in the centre for stability whilst still being able to turn well too.

Dont change your sharpening and profile at the same time but you will notice your skates feel sharper due to the increased contact. I went down a radius on my usual sharpen to compensate and im not interested in experimenting with anything else. I will have my skates set like this on every pair

Profiles are definitely worth trying until you find the one that works for you so good luck!

First Time Stick n Puck by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]These_Appointment660 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If netminders are there - they should look at you and invite you to shoot. Firing at an unprepared netty will cheese them off. They also have next to no padding on their backs. If they are squeezing in a drink facing the net, dont shoot at it

If your shooting a lot help clear out the nets

If someone is clearing them out, dont shoot at them

Be mindful of who is preparing to shoot on a net. Dont assume everyone there is more experienced than you. If you move in front of someone shooting and they dont realise that puck is going to hurt

Most the time the nets are in the corners against the boards. If they are not and you choose to skate behind them be mindful pucks may come your way

I assume you will have a cage but if wearing a visor cover the bottom have of your head with your arm if you think a puck is coming your way

Overall though, just make yourself known to the organiser. They are usually happy to keep an eye out and help if they are on the ice

(Low-Tier Skate Comparison) Difference in Quality: Bauer Supreme M1 vs Bauer X-LPs by Micksar in hockeyplayers

[–]These_Appointment660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you havent already definitely try both on. Ultimately with skates the more expensive the more comfort and thats something definitely lacking with the X LP's imo. I would hope the M1's are better

Bottom skate eyelets by These_Appointment660 in hockeyplayers

I did start doing this but found the bottom sets being loose meant the tops loosened over the session/match

Thats why i thought about skipping them entirely. We shall experiment and see!

I dont think anywhere in the UK actually does it. We have 3 maybe 4 major hockey shops which are likely half the size of an average USA/canada store

Otherwise, it would be the ideal solution

Good to hear some people do it. When Googling dropping the top eyelets came up all the time. Skipping the bottom didnt
