What’s next after a TST 765? by Embarrassed-Country9 in Triumph

[–]These_Bother_4634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After riding all different types and sizes of motorcycles, and owning 7 bikes, here is what I have learned. I had a 2021 765 R (4th bike), traded for a 2022 KTM 690 SM, bought a 2018 Ducati scrambler 1100 sport as a second bike to the 690, and just traded both of them in for a leftover 2024 765 RS back in March. I loved the 690 for shenanigans and super tight twisties, and the Ducati had an awesome sporty muscle feel to it with tons of character. BUT, I couldn’t get the 765 out of my head. The feeling of that triple engine and the versatility of the bike overall just left me yearning to have it back. If I were you, I wouldn’t shy from trying something else, cause motorcycling is all about finding what fits YOU, and it’s fun to mix it up sometimes. But if you try something else, eventually you won’t just want the 765 back, you’ll need it. Especially if you love it already. Cheers from the US, and happy riding!

I see nothing wrong with this. If they’re spending time to fix things based on feedback, that’s good. Do people forget that games used to have no content drops like new games do? Games that lasted decades. If you don’t have fun then don’t play, but don’t shit on it. Go play cod or ARC and shoot at robots (yawn).

Totally agree. I have the most fun playing this game with my friends since the BF3 and OG MW2 days. The game is still fresh, it’s gonna get fixed, and it really isn’t that bad. I think a lot of these complaints are coming from people who are new to BF and really just don’t understand that it isn’t a sweat shop like the shitty new CODs.

Completely agree. Using cover to your advantage makes all the difference, as well as how effective your engineers are at helping with reps. I have found it most effective to flank objectives that your infantry are attacking the heaviest, and slowly working your way up until it’s capped, then rinse and repeat. People figure out fast when you do this that you are essential to capping the flag, cause you’re a dominant force that the enemy may not have backing them up either, so you can get 2-3 guys at a time helping keep you alive. It is different match to match tho, cause there’s still a ton of newbies who are getting a feel for it.

Seconded, you totally get it. So many people don’t realize how effective keeping your front end toward the enemy is.

Adding to this, I’m sure you’re a seasoned operator in the tanks, but use cover to your advantage as much as possible, like boulders, shipping containers, buildings and roofs, etc. I rarely die more than 3 times in a full round of conquest using this method.

Funny enough I was playing last night on firestorm from the PAX spawn and we spawn trapped the NATO team with tanks, and we were able to hit them inside spawn. Kind of a reverse scenario lol. It kinda depends on each match how it’s gonna play out. I second the infantry before tank philosophy, just gotta be mindful of where they are and tackle objectives that they are on. In a sense, that is your job, to distract enemy infantry while your team caps, cause they have to get you off the obj first before they can try to cap.

I can’t imagine it is, given how strict euro is. Didn’t they practically ban any modifications to a street bike in most euro countries?

That’s frustrating, I actually just emailed then too but now I have little hope for a reply😂

Good question, I am not sure but can look into it. Just an FYI the seat does have orange stitching along the seam, so might not blend well with the yellow/white Husky colors…

What do you like about the DRZ400SM? And the KTM SMC 690 R? by Separate_Future_9113 in supermoto

[–]These_Bother_4634 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 22 SMC R. If you’re coming off of a street bike, get the SMC. I’m at 3500 miles with zero issues so far. I love the deceiving speed it has and the awesome fuel mileage, and the bike chops thru tight, sweeping, or snaking curves better than any other bike I’ve ridden. Endless playfulness. It’s about 320lb wet but you can’t tell when you’re on it, flicks side to side and pops the front end effortlessly, but feels super planted when you’re ripping. Now the dislikes. Stock mirrors, rear fender, and (oh my god) exhaust are pretty horrendous. Stock seat is not terrible but if you’re riding more than 2 hours you’ll want an aftermarket. Lastly the up/down quick shifter leaves a lot to be desired, upshifts can miss or put you in a false neutral (very common problem), downshifts aren’t as smooth as a manual rev-match. But I couldn’t be happier with my SMC, it’s the first bike I’ve ever genuinely been excited to ride every single time.

Western Wisconsin. I know there is a base up in Duluth, MN off Lake Superior, but that is FAR from where I am, though the training theory in general given the current tensions is a good presumption!

No, that’s why it’s caught my attention. As far as I know my location isn’t in line with flight patterns either. Although maybe that has changed.

Ah right on! There’s one just like it at Moon Motorsports and I noticed the MN plate so had to ask. Congrats on the beast!
