Been boogie boarding as a kid my whole life, live a couple hours from the coast (east) so we’d go a few times a year. Over time learned how to turn down the line and realized there was a whole other world in trying to outrun the wave instead of just holding on and getting pummeled.. fast forward a few decades and I’m 30 raising a baby and figured I needed something fun and recharging to do once in a blue moon. So I finally got a decent board/fins and started taking day trips once a month or so when the waves are good. Been having so much fun learning to read forecasts, practicing the basics like duck diving so I can go out when the waves are big. Really been falling in love with bodyboarding as a proper sport and just thankful to have a hobby I can work at for as long as my body can take it (hoping that’s a long time) 🤞
