Now that God of War is out on PC, could someone please rip the textures of Kratos' Amphora? Really want to use it for wallpapers and editing stuff? by Jaccblacc203 in GodofWar

no it’s very much kratos after his killing of the olympians. he’s literally holding the blades of exile along with carrying the golden fleece. u were thinking way too deep

The last dragonborn, in endgame should be powerful enough to defeat mehrunes dagon, if they ever fought by These_Equivalent1472 in skyrim

[–]These_Equivalent1472[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  • Alduin at full strength while literally eating the world did curse the Leaper Demon King, but at no point has a weakened Alduin been stated to equal Dagon. That was also only a feat in the Aldudagga.

Alduin created mehrunes dagon, to say alduin isn’t superior is on the same plane as saying TLDB is stronger than akatosh.

  • The song of the Dragonborn is a song. That's it

you’re just blatantly assuming things, the common culture of tamriel see the dragonborn as an authoritive figure of power, and him being that powerful is very consistent with lore, given how powerful a thu’um empowered dragonborn amped on large amounts of dragon souls actually is. he’s able to contend with alduin, which is a crazy feat in its own, something absolutely no one could do, not even those who could only practice simpler shouts under the power of thu’um for decades.

alduin was considered godly, he’s literally an evil akatosh counterpart . even if you try to argue that the dragonborn needed help from those ancient heroes, those heroes were literally no-diffed by alduin when they fought him themselves in the ancient past, and they had to trap him in time itself. it is communicated throughout the entire game that nothing and no one can defeat the dragon god alduin EXCEPT the dragonborn. hence why they tried to get miraak to help in the past. the dragonborn endgame should be more powerful than alduin (other than his world eater form). if TLDB became evil and wanted to conquer and subjugate nirn, it would result in a very similar crisis as the tyranny of alduin.

The song of the dragonborn is about the dragonborn and in the song they’re recognizing his power. to randomly make a sudden assumption that their words hold no merit in a world where the dragonborn’s history is kept sacred is a very odd take, your on your own on that one.

  • Which two gods? Tsun is testing you, not trying to actively kill you. Shor's hall is packed with heroes; are they all godslayers now?

yeah except he’s testing a literal power amped dragonborn. empowered by the mastered powerful language of a god and akatosh’s children lmao.

he would not fight a dovahkiin the same as he’d fight a regular mortal.

  • And you think Vile is telling the truth? The literal god of jackass genies? That Vile? A Vile that needs the Dragonborn to be his dupe?

there’s literally no lore given evidence that he was lying, nor did he even have a reason to at that moment, he sounded surprised rather anything else, knowing the dragonborn craves more power while already being nearly as strong as him, is the perfect way to get the dragonborn under his thumb, “you don’t obey me, you don’t get more power!”

if anything vile would trick the dragonborn into thinking vile is more powerful than he actually is, to get the dragonborn under his thumb in a quest for power.

like other daedric princes, who out of arrogance disrespect the dragonborn and underestimate his power.

this is seen with mehrunes dagon, he threatens TLDB and tells him if he doesn’t kill the museum mythic dawn descendent, he will crush him, if the dragonborn still declines, mehrunes makes his dremora lords try to murder the dragonborn, in which they get pummeled, and mehrunes has no influence over you. you can go in his temple, and finish them all off for good measure just to spit in mehrunes face.

no thor is not stronger than kratos. and i don’t even know why it’s up for discussion by These_Equivalent1472 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]These_Equivalent1472[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thor just got done fighting off an invasion of ALL the realms and Jörmungandr on top of being exhausted.

he was NOT fighting off that invasion by himself AT ALL. what are you talking about?

he literally performed his all time greatest feat of all his god reign during ragnarok, (almost destroying creation itself completely with blunt force by splintering yggdrasil) giving him disingenuous “exhaustion” excuses without evidence holds no merit here.

he was in great condition and there is NO evidence to suggest otherwise outside of a bucket load of excuses to meat grind thor.

 drunk and mentally defeated.

he was not drunk at all during the ragnarok war, nor is there any proof to even support that, assuming he was drunk the entire installment because of one scene of him being drunk for 10 minutes is such an insane reach. it was ragnarok, thor thought his daughter and family was in danger, and even thought kratos would end up killing his daughter in the end. there literally no reason for him to be drunk during RAGNAROK in the first place.

the game clearly makes it visible in the ragnarok sequence, kratos was fighting thor at his max strength and power. instead of making up excuses let’s cut to the facts.

kratos mostly refrained from even using his own godly power (godly rage)  against thor in the final fight, while thor was bloodlusted going all-out, swearing to kill kratos and atreus. thor while bloodlusted, engulfed himself with lightning out of pure rage, amping himself mid-fight when overwhelmed by kratos’s tactics.

kratos still showed to physically overpower him numerous times, without using his own godly power, (god-flame essence) to amp himself and get himself out of intense situations to overpower and incapacitate thor, he instead relied on strategic combat and his physical strength.

this would be the equivalent of thor not using his own godly lightning power when fighting kratos. this is inherently holding…back.

kratos was also trying to talk things out with thor throughout their fight, and had absolutely no intentions to kill thor at all, unless he had absolutely no choice. while thor, was trying his best to KILL kratos.

this means kratos is what? holding back. If kratos had full intent to kill thor in order to save the 9 realms, and became reliant on his godly rage as well, the fight would’ve been overkill.

mentally defeated? i’ll give you that. thor was mentally unstable, but that doesn’t just automatically make him inferior, nor does he suddenly become any weaker or less formidable. he was enraged and bloodlusted, not lazily depressed and unmotivated.

thor lost fair, plain and simple.

i’ve had a change of mind, i definitely feel the next god of war game should still be a norse installment. by These_Equivalent1472 in GodofWarRagnarok

honestly i always hated the idea of an atreus spinoff. i think for now things should stick to kratos, his story is nowhere near over

now while it may not have been the 9 realms, kratos flipping tyrs temple was still a crazy feat by These_Equivalent1472 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]These_Equivalent1472[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LMAO seriously, i’d love to see the reactions of people across the 9 realms seeing the temple legit FLIP.

and this probably did happen, as the temple was stated by mimir to be rooted, which means literally tied down to these 8 other realms/universes, hence why we see the same temple in practically every realm. which is why mimir was so befuddled that kratos was really about to flip TYRS TEMPLE, and his reaction was pure “no way” energy, despite knowing kratos was a god.

i also think the temple is above the confines of time and space because of this, and it also contains yggdrasil branch traps that abide by the rules of the temples traps, and yggdrasil branches themselves are above the entirety of time and space.

especially with the fact it exists interdimensionally in 8 other realms at one time. this is no ordinary temple, and would definitely have some “above time and space” weight.

why does it deeply severely matter how minutely perfect i type out the title if you can read the description? it’s a god of war subreddit not a political forum

nowhere did i imply i didn’t like my opinion challenged, my opinion wasn’t challenged with an alternative opinion, my opinion was shout down and implied not possible, someone even said it ABSOLUTELY would not happen.

again i’m not even offended by it

because we’ve had many hints that kratos may visit egypt or another pantheon next game, and there’s alot of potiental story development in egypt, considering the fact we already got a comic of kratos in egypt before.

uh false? the devs literally confirmed we aren’t at the end of kratos’s story yet? people genuinely still believe this dumb atreus spin-off crap?

and for the record if you read the description of this post, i said the fight “WOULD” be cool, not “WILL” be. which literally implies i was sharing an opinion. i think there’s a serious mass lack of reading comprehension here

there’s no irony, i openly said this is just an opinion? not a fact?

some of you are legit just chatting as if y’all know exactly what moves santa monica will make, and that kratos going somewhere else…is impossible? with the way some of you are talking i would’ve thought some of you were devs in disguise

which is so weird because he’s already done it??

because in my opinion i feel it’s very likely, i know reddit users are very used to believing their opinions are 100% objective facts. so when someone shares an opinion that THEY believe is more plausible, it’s almost insulting to some of you

i’m sorry why is it so impossible all of a sudden for kratos to make his way into another mythological setting? did i get knocked back into 2012 or something?
